Ruby Stokes gradually eased into the TV and film industry as a kid, making her first onscreen appearance in a 2010 episode of the comedy series "Just William." The following year, she played Little Lucy in another comedy show, "Not Going Out."

She gained recognition playing Amelia in the award-winning biographical series "Da Vinci's Demons" in 2014. Ruby Stokes consistently built her resume afterward, landing roles in several movie shorts and full films before breaking out as Francesca in Netflix's "Bridgerton."

Her latest project, "Lockwood and Co.," debuted in 2023 and skyrocketed her fame further. But like many celebrities, Stokes has taken care to guard her privacy, save for a few appreciation posts for her friends and family now and then.

Ruby Stokes Cared Little about How She Looked In 'Lockwood and Co.'

Stokes leads the fantasy series "Lockwood and Co." as Lucy, a young girl with psychic abilities who becomes a ghosthunter. Her desire to be strong was part of how she related to the character.

She compared Lucy to Katniss Everdeen of "The Hunger Games," played by Jennifer Lawrence. They were both young women who cared little about beauty standards and pressures and more about getting stronger. That was her mindset when she played Lucy; she wanted to do the role justice.
