Trinity Jo-Li Bliss' Parents Are from Different Continents – Facts about Them

Trinity Jo-Li Bliss's parents may have had different aspirations for their daughter, but the couple has wholeheartedly supported the actress's dreams. They are both pioneers of science, though her immigrant mother eventually branched into a slightly different direction.

In June 2023, Trinity Jo-Li Bliss posted a string of photos, giving her followers a glimpse into her relationship with her dad. The pictures (old and new) showed the ever-smiling actress enjoying adventures and outings with her father.

They told stories of the two traveling, playing music, and enjoying a good swim and sunset at the beach together. Alongside the sweet slide show, Trinity Jo-Bliss penned a touching caption, listing everything that made her dad a wonderful father.

"Happy Father's Day to you, Dad. Thank you for loving me, Mom, and my big brothers so unconditionally," the actress wrote. She continued, saying he taught her bravery and kindness, and lauded him for being a true feminist.

The proud dad often raved about his daughter's accomplishments to strangers, leading her sometimes to pretend she didn't know him. Beyond instilling good virtues in his daughter, he also taught her to be mindful of the environment through his actions.

"I love you, Dad, thank you for always holding a jacket for me, laughing at my Dad jokes and silly puns, doing a heck of a job as a roadie for me," Trinity continued. She concluded the heartwarming caption by virtually toasting, "To all the dads like mine!"

Trinity Jo-Li Bliss's Father Works for Biopharmaceuticals Companies

Trinity's father is Thomas H. Bliss Jr. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a Bachelor's in English and Asian Studies. He also holds an MBA from The Wharton School, specializing in Finance and Marketing.

He started working as an Analyst for the Lehman Brothers in 1988. He took a hiatus in 1990 and returned in 1994 as a Licensing and Acquisitions Manager for Johnsons and Johnsons. Many of the positions he took afterward were in companies specializing in bioscience.

Additionally, Thomas grew his corporate expertise. In December 2018, he joined the Board of Directors at POP Biotechnologies, where he remains an active member. He is also the current Senior Strategic Advisor at TLC Biopharmaceuticals, though working part-time.

Trinity Jo-Li Bliss's Parents Met While Working at the Same Biotech Company

Little is known about Trinity's mother, but her daughter once shared a few details about her life. It's unclear what last name she goes by, but according to Trinity's grandfather's obituary, her first name is Lei.

"My mom came to the United States from China as a graduate student pursuing something out of this world (wink wink!) — aerospace engineering!" Trinity explained. She added that while her dad still introduces her mom as a rocket scientist, Lei later switched to Statistics.

The couple met while working at the same biotech company. It's unknown when they married, but they settled in Los Angeles and expanded their family. Thomas and Lei raised Trinity and her siblings in a culturally rich and welcoming neighborhood.

Trinity Jo-Li Bliss's Parents Had Different Aspirations for Her

Trinity has spoken frequently about how she came to join the entertainment industry. For as long as she could remember, she loved putting on a show for her loved ones. "I often found myself making my own music on piano or guitar and singing out my feelings [...]," she recalled.

She engaged in art before she even started lessons. At five, her mom managed to enroll her in the local theater camp during summer break, despite how young she was. She joined many more afterward and eventually begged her mom to get her acting lessons.

Still, Trinity knew her parents had different hopes for her career. "I am pretty confident that when I was born, my mom imagined I would go to a STEM program at a respectable, nearby university. My dad wanted to help me become an Olympian skater who plays piano very well," she said.

Nonetheless, their support was unwavering as long as she prioritized studying maths for at least 30 minutes daily. Today Trinity is renowned worldwide after starring in "Avatar: The Way of Water," with Zoe Saldana, Sam Worthington, Sigourney Weaver, Kate Winslet, and Michelle Yeoh.
