'I Feel So Grateful Today': Evangeline Lilly Reflects on Her Life as She Turns 44

Evangeline Lily celebrated a milestone as she turned 44. The actress shared a birthday post on Instagram, looking back at the wonderful years she has lived so far.

Evangeline Lily feels nothing but gratitude as she celebrates her 44th birthday by reflecting on life. The stunning actress was born in 1979 in Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta.

She recently shared an Instagram post of herself posing by a window while wearing a suit and tie. She also included a lengthy caption filled with gratitude.

"I feel so grateful today," she said. "Life truly is a grand adventure. Even in the midst of chaos, maybe even because of the chaos, I get to choose to be fully alive or to fall into a slumber of the soul. I choose to live."

According to the actress, she enjoys being in her 40s, describing it as an adventure. She is thankful that she wakes up every day and experiences new things, regardless of the challenges that may come with it.

Several fans and friends greeted Lily on her special day, including her 65-year-old on-screen mom in "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania," Michele Pfeiffer. In her tribute to the celebrant, Pfeiffer referred to Lilly as her "superhero daughter."

Lily has been in the entertainment industry for decades and worked with several talents. She is known for her roles in "The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug," "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies," "Little Evil," "Crisis," "Legend of Destruction," and "South of Heaven."

Lilly, a mom of two, said her children found it cool that she starred in the Marvel films. Her eldest son, Kahekili Kali, initially didn't believe she had landed the part.

In recent years, Lily joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe cast and starred in "Ant-Man," "Ant-Man and the Wasp," and "Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania." She also appeared in the "Avengers" film franchise, including "Avengers: Endgame," "Avengers: Damage Control," and "Avengers: Quantum Encounter."

Lilly, a mom of two, said her children found it cool that she starred in the Marvel films. Her eldest son, Kahekili Kali, initially didn't believe she had landed the part. It was when he became interested in the Marvel Cinematic Universe that he found his mom interesting, especially as he was in middle school.

Lilly shares Kahekili Kali with her long-time partner, Norman Kali. She gave birth to him after 30 hours of labor amidst a thunderstorm. While giving birth, she was in a meditated state while trying to push her son out for eight hours.
