DJ Casper’s Wife: Facts about Kim Bradshaw & Their Relationship

Kim Bradshaw and DJ Casper were just over a month from celebrating their third wedding anniversary when the world-famous musician lost his battle with cancer. In his last few years, DJ Casper had Bradshaw's unwavering support as he persevered through his career.

On August 8, 2023, news emerged that beloved musician DJ Casper, born Wille Perry, died of cancer. The Chicago native was diagnosed in 2016 with two variations of the disease, renal and neuroendocrine, which affected his liver and kidneys.

Casper would've had surgery, but a complication — a main artery connected to his liver — led the doctors to believe treatment was the best option. Still, many challenges arose as the cancers dealt his body a heavy blow. He had trouble eating and went from approximately 236 pounds to under 66.

"If you know me, you know I'm not going to stop. I'm going to continue to go. I'm going to continue to go until I can't go," DJ Casper declared in May 2023. The musician was determined to stay positive and to keep fighting.

Sadly, that fight came to an end. Upon the announcement of DJ Casper's death, which occurred in the company of his loved ones, his wife, Kim Bradshaw, released the statement:

"Casper was a fun-loving, giving person. He was a genuine, family-oriented man. He loved Chicago with all his heart. He will be greatly missed."

DJ Casper's Wife: The Couple's Love Story Is a Mystery

It's unknown when DJ Casper and Bradshaw met, but the couple tied the knot in September 2020, per Bradshaw's Facebook bio. They lived together in Chicago, Illinois. Little else is known about their love story as they kept their lives relatively private.

However, now and then, Bradshaw would share pictures of herself and her husband on her page. The last one she posted dates back to December 2022, showing the couple posing on a staircase, looking happy and stylish in their evening attire.

In October 2022, Bradshaw shared a poster for Casper Slide Entertainment's then-upcoming Celebrity Illusionist concert. The event was scheduled for December 17 at Freedom Hall Theater in Park Forest, Illinois.

Earlier in the year, in August, she promoted her 50th birthday bash, also held by her late husband's company. Celebrity Illusionists portraying R. Kelly and Toni Braxton were said to be present at the event, which took place on September 24 at The South Loop Hotel.

In April 2022, during another event shared by Bradshaw on her page, Casper spoke of his journey with cancer. One clip showed the songwriter, forever known and cherished for creating the enduring "Cha Cha Slide," addressing the audience.

He started frankly, saying he felt drained mentally and physically. But despite this fatigue, he believed God told him to "keep on going." Following his speech was a performance by illusionists of the RnB group New Edition, portraying members including Bobby Brown, a father of seven, and Ricky Bell.
