Global superstar Beyoncé Knowles, 41, and her iconic entrepreneur and artistic spouse, Jay-Z Carter, 53, are two of the most successful people worldwide. Outside of their musical talents and their ingenuity in their business pursuits, the couple are also parents of three.

The item started dating back in 2000 and tied the knot eight years later in 2008. In 2012, they welcomed their firstborn daughter, Blue Ivy Carter, and in 2017, Blue's twin siblings, Rumi and Sir Carter, were born.

Despite their unparalleled level of fame, which fully exposes them to the public eye, both parents prefer to keep their personal lives ultra-private, especially where it concerns their children.

The Carters have been married for 15 years now. When it comes to how they have managed to sustain their relationship through its ups and downs, doting husband Jay-Z says it boils down to their willingness to continue fighting for their love and family. In addition to believing that his wife is his soulmate, the rapper also said:

"...to give our kids a different outcome...to break that cycle...for black men and women to see a different outcome. Like you were saying, it's not this celebrity couple—we were never a celebrity couple; we were a couple who just happened to be celebrities."

Another interview in which Jay-Z sat down with iconic comedic actor Kevin Hart saw him sharing his perspective on fatherhood and how it changed his life. The artist spoke about how becoming a father made him reflect on the importance of spending time with his kids:

"Every second that you spend, you spend it away from the development of these people that you brought here, that you love more than anything in the world. So, what are you gonna spend that time on? So, that changed a lot."

Jay-Z and Beyoncé have also built an incredible amount of wealth throughout their illustrious careers. Their entrepreneurial prowess boasts an amount that is well over $1 billion. Currently, Jay-Z is worth $2.5 billion, while his wife's net worth now sits at $540 million, officially making the couple the wealthiest artists in the world.

Beyoncé and Jay-Z Once Rented a Home in Los Angeles for $150K and Were Kicked Out Later

Before their net worths sat where they do today, back in 2014, the superstar couple were renting a mansion in Los Angeles. As a result of their busy schedules while on tour, they made the home their temporary base for $200,000 a month. After their initial stay in the sprawling abode, they chose to rent it again, this time for $150,000 a month.

The spacious mansion boasts seven bedrooms, a wine cellar, an infinity swimming pool, an art gallery expanding to 75 feet long, a theatre, a tennis court, two libraries, and a catering kitchen. The place scored tenth on L.A.'s most expensive houses list.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé enlisted the services of a realtor to the stars, Kurt Rappaport, who repped them and the seller of their home.

While renting the stunning mansion, they were looking for a permanent home. However, before they found what they were looking for, the house they were renting was sold, thus, forcing them to vacate the premises within 60 days.

According to media outlets, the couple was not interested in outbidding the $35.5 million a buyer had proposed to acquire the lot. After the news broke, sources reported that the music icons began looking for other homes in Holmby Hills, Beverly Hills, and Bel-Air.

Jay-Z and Beyoncé Now Live in a Luxurious Mansion in Malibu

After searching far and wide in greater California, the "Crazy in Love" singer and the "Empire State Of Mind" rapper found their current home in Malibu. The mansion is one of the most celebrated architectural masterpieces in the United States and boasts 30,000 square feet.

According to inside sources who work in real estate, Jay-Z and Beyoncé ended up paying $200 million for the residence. This significant figure makes it the wealthiest home sale across the state of California, beating the former record of $177 million.

Jay-Z and his spouse's mansion comes in second place on the list of the most high-priced homes sold in the U.S. The title holder is a luxury apartment located in New York City worth $238 million.

The entrepreneurial couple scored a great deal when they bought their home because they managed to knock $95 million off the mansion's original cost listing. Located in Paradise Cove, better known as the "Billionaire's Row," the sprawling estate sits atop an 8-acre cliff and provides a clear view of the Pacific Ocean.

A well-known Japanese architect, Tadao Ando, who many consider a master when it comes to design, designed the couple's home. He is also the architect for rapper and producer Kanye West's Malibu abode.

Previously, the Carters' estate belonged to a prominent art collector named William Bell, who also built the place. According to sources, Bell took nearly 15 years to construct the structure that is all-concrete in its form.

As far as what the public knows about the married couple's real estate portfolio, their current mansion is their second most significant purchase since 2017. The couple bought a mansion worth $88 million previously.

They ended up allocating several million dollars to home renovations and additions which catapulted the home's worth to over $100 million. Jay-Z and Beyoncé enlisted the services of a realtor to the stars, Kurt Rappaport, who repped them and the seller of their home.

The star couple has built a significant amount of wealth, giving them billionaire status and a reputation as two of the most affluent people in the entertainment industry.
