Lucho Brieva Is Chrissie Hynde’s 2nd Husband – Facts about Him & Their Short Marriage
Lucho Brieva is American-British musician Chrissie Hynde's former husband. Brieva and Hynde had a significant age difference as a couple, but that did not stop them from secretly marrying.
Lucho Brieva and Chrissie Hynde became husband and wife in the late '90s. The couple decided to be spontaneous on their wedding day, and one fellow celebrity was also present to help them.
Brieva and Hynde influenced each other in more ways than one during their marriage, and she gushed about that once in an interview. Although his job differed from hers, he still impacted her career.

However, there was no stability in Brieva and his famous former wife's marriage. The Columbian native candidly talked about it in an interview years after they parted ways.
Brieva, who is multi-talented in his craft, revealed the situation was unbearable for him but explained that he finally found his comfort zone, which he described as freeing.
Lucho Brieva & Chrissie Hynde's Marriage
Lucho Brieva and Chrissie Hynde tied the knot on July 10, 1997, in a low-key ceremony that took place in London, her adopted home. She was 42, and Brieva was 32 then. The bride and groom exchanged wedding vows at Marylebone Register Office in a 30-minute ceremony with the assistance of singer Annie Lennox.
They both donned casually for the special occasion. Brieva wore blue jeans paired with a brown blazer and a shirt underneath. Meanwhile, his newly-wedded wife also sported blue jeans, with a red blazer and a black top.

The couple hosted a party at a Pizza Express afterward, and their nuptials made rounds on the internet that week, but Hynde's publicist only confirmed it a few days later. Brieva lived with Hynde and her two daughters, Natalie and Yasmin, from her previous relationships.
The newlyweds were introduced by mutual friends, and the mother of two revealed Brieva influenced her album's Spanish title, including its cover art. She gushed in a June 1999 interview:
"Since I met him, I got this whole South American thing going on. He's got this Che Guevara look."

However, their marriage broke down in 2002. The former couple did not welcome any kids together. Four years later, Brieva spoke frankly about the dynamics of their union in a February 2004 interview:
"When I was married to Chrissie Hynde we moved house every year for six years. It was too much. Now I prefer to have one manageable space. It's very liberating."
Lucho Brieva's Life after the Divorce – He Is an Architect Designer
After Brieva and Hyde split, he purchased his own home in north London, situated at the Kensal Rise building. The property was in bad shape when he acquired it.
It is a three-story brick building where the then 38-year-old had settled after moving houses for several years. Brieva renovated the interior and added a flair of his personality to the house.

Brieva is an architect designer and had a gallery where he made furniture, lighting, and other architectural components in his abode, featuring a recording studio.
In an interview, Brieva, a Columbian native, revealed that he meditated and exercised at his house. He also had a punching bag hanging in the gallery.
Lucho Brieva Has Dabbled in Music
Brieva's home is a former Victorian stable and a railway depot. In addition to the gallery, it also featured a metal workshop on the ground floor and a living space upstairs.
In September 2004, Brieva participated in London's 12th Open House for the first time to showcase his home design. He openly talked about his living space in an interview at the time.
"It's important to have a place that is sacred, where you can recharge, Brieva, who was once a martial arts champion in his home country Columbia, expressed. As for the Open House opportunity, he said it was a way to "promote" his work, adding he liked seeing people's facial expressions once they stepped inside.
Brieva went to London in 2003, intending to complete his training as an architect. While there, he became interested in sculpting, lighting, and music. That same year, he collaborated with Phil Manzanera after working on Hynde's Spanish song "Complicada."
As for Hynde, she revealed in a June 2020 interview that she remains on good terms with all of her exes (similarly to actress Michelle Grace and comedian Ian Hecox), adding that despite her failed relationships, she does not feel lonely.
