Mom Learns Her Teen Son Secretly Had a Kid Years Ago & This Child Lives in Their Home
- A Florida mother hired a young live-in nanny who soon began sexually abusing her son.
- The 11-year-old boy never told his mother about the assault until three years after the nanny gave birth to his son.
- At first, the mother didn't believe it when her teen boy claimed he had fathered the nanny's son. She asked him to take a DNA test, unaware that the results would make her feel sick to her stomach.
Nadene Campbell hired a young nanny, Marissa Mowry, on a relative's recommendation in 2014. Soon, the Florida mother asked Mowry to work as a live-in nanny, hoping she would look after her son.
Campbell felt Mowry was a good woman and, at one point, even considered the young girl as her daughter. Little did she know that the nanny she hired to look after her 11-year-old boy, Chris McBride, would do something horrifying.

Like most nannies, Mowry spent time with McBride, but Campbell never suspected anything wrong about their relationship. Years later, the boy recalled that his 22-year-old nanny used to play an inappropriate game with him, where she placed her hand on his body, asking if he felt nervous.
At the time, the boy was too young to understand the woman's ill intentions. He recalled that "things escalated from there" to a point where the nanny confessed she "loved" him and "wanted to date him."
Fearing the boy would tell his mother about her feelings, Mowry told him to lie about their relationship, threatening she would leave if he didn't. The boy was too young to realize that his nanny was abusing him.

During her time at Campbell's home, Mowry sexually assaulted the boy for months, ultimately giving birth to his child in October 2014. McBride never told his mother about the months of abuse until three years later.
How Did the Boy Learn He Was the Father of the Baby?
After conceiving the baby, Mowry knew she could never let Campbell know about the baby's paternity, so she kept it a secret and told McBride to do the same.

The boy recalled the day his nanny told him she was pregnant with his baby. "I was a little bit freaked out because I was confused," the boy recounted during an interview. Soon, Mowry gave birth to a boy and named him Bentley.
Campbell had no idea what was happening behind her back during this time. Never in a million years had she thought her son would be getting sexually abused by someone she trusted so much.

When Campbell learned about the nanny's pregnancy, she thought the father was someone she didn't know. It wasn't until McBride opened up about the nanny's assault three years later that she learned who the baby's real father was.
What Happened When the Mother Learned about the Assault?
Campbell had watched Bentley grow up before her eyes but never thought the baby was her grandchild. In 2017, McBride told his mother he was the child's father, but the woman didn't believe it.

"There's no way Bentley can be your child!" the mother responded to her son. However, upon realizing the boy was serious, she made him take a DNA test, unaware that the results would prove him right. She recalled:
"When the results came back in, I went and threw up."
Campbell was disgusted after learning how the nanny had "manipulated" her family. As a result, she filed a police report, hoping justice would be served to her son, who was forced to stay quiet for years.

In 2019, Mowry was sentenced to 20 years in prison during the final court hearing in Hillsborough County, Florida. 17-year-old McBride was in the courtroom while the judge sentenced her to 10 years of sex offender probation after her release from prison.

The 28-year-old ex-nanny silently stood in the courtroom as an assistant public defender discussed her troubled past. The lawyer said Mowry had an abusive childhood, grew up in a household without parents, and spent some time on the streets as a homeless person.
After learning about Mowry's past, Campbell said that was not an excuse for someone to change her son's life. She felt parents should be vigilant and never think that females cannot be "predators."

Being a young father, McBride cannot do everything like other boys his age. Every morning, he would drop his little one at school before going to school himself. After returning home, the young father would play with Bentley instead of spending time with friends or dating girls.
"Who wants to date a 17-year-old who has a 5-year-old?" Campbell asked. She said the incident hadn't ruined his life, but it had changed it, turning him into "one of the most amazing dads you'll ever meet."
Here is another story about a pregnant wife who found out about her husband's infidelity. Instead of apologizing upon confrontation, the man asked her to abort their baby.
