Jalen Hurts Sister, Kynnedy Hurts, Is a Rising Volleyball Star

Despite having two older brothers who pursued football careers, Jalen Hurts' sister discovered her passion in volleyball, which the National Football League (NFL) star believes could land her a college scholarship thanks to her work ethic and "hunger."

Jalen Hurts is a quarterback in the NFL for the Philadelphia Eagles and one of the three athletically gifted Hurts siblings. The NFL star thanked his older brother for paving the way for his budding football career, and Jalen Hurts' sister, Kynnedy Hurts, is a volleyball player.

While nurturing his athletic career, Jalen Hurts recalled watching his sister exert the same amount of hunger and passion into her sport, and according to the quarterback, Kynnedy Hurts is the smartest of the three siblings.

Jalen Hurts Believes His Sister's Volleyball Talent Could Land Her a College Scholarship

Kynnedy is an Outside Hitter for the Channelview High School Lady Falcon Varsity Volleyball team in Texas, and according to her brother, she has the potential to land a full ride to any college. The NFL player said:

"She's going to do great things. And just in case she needs it, I have $70,000 for her to go to college just in case she needs it. She plays volleyball, so she could very well get a scholarship and go play somewhere for free."

Jalen Hurts' Sister Shares the Same Passion for Sports as Her Famous Older Brother

Growing up, Jalen used to prepare for his career in the NFL by spending his time in the weights room or playing catch with his brother and father. However, during an interview, the quarterback recalled watching his sister put the same effort into her sports career.

Jalen Hurts is also close with his older brother, Averion, who was named after their father.

Jalen remembered seeing Kynnedy hitting a volleyball against the side of the house, taking care of her body by lifting weights in the garage, or "doing all of these same sort of things with the same hunger (sic)." He added, "She has the same hunger — the same passion for what she wants to do. She's putting in the work [...]."

Jalen Hurts Shares a Close Relationship with His Siblings

In addition to lovingly setting aside money for his younger sister to further her education, Jalen sang his sister's praises regarding her intellect. He revealed that Kynnedy could count on him for anything. Jalen said:

"She's the smartest one of the three of us. And I watch her put in an endless amount of work. [...] Anything she decides to do, I got her back."

Jalen Hurts is also close with his older brother, Averion Jr., who was named after their dad. Averion Jr. was a collegiate athlete at Texas Southern University. While there, he played in the starting quarterback position. The quarterback's big brother has joined their father, Averion Hurts Sr., in coaching.

Averion Jr. currently serves as the football coach at the University of Alabama, where he first played football after high school in 2016. During an interview, Jalen revealed that he and his older brother are best friends.
