Woman Demands Husband to Choose between Her or His Son Who Blames Her for Breaking His Parents’ Marriage

After several violent encounters, a woman demanded her husband choose between her and his son. Their disagreements about the son led to the end of their marriage and someone losing their life.

A 39-year-old woman and her husband, Dave, struggled to blend their family, which negatively affected their marriage. On June 5, 2020, the wife took to Reddit to share some of the instances that led her to give her husband an ultimatum: to choose between her and his 19-year-old son, Avery.

From the beginning of their relationship, the woman said Avery did not like her because he believed she was behind his parents' divorce. But the 39-year-old said she only met Dave three years after his first marriage ended.

The woman knew it would not be an easy transition. At the time she met Dave, Avery was 13 years old, so she wanted to stay respectful of his boundaries and build a relationship with him, but Avery never liked her.

When Dave and his wife decided to get married, Avery was not happy about it and said his father needed to ask for his permission. He even threatened not to come to his wedding.

The couple tried to meet the 19-year-old half away and scheduled a family meeting with him and his mother, Dianna, to determine what had made him so angry. However, the conversation led nowhere, and Avery did not speak to his father until the wedding.

At the wedding, Avery caused a scene. He objected to his father getting married and told everyone that his father's wife had broken up his family. The whole day was ruined for the 39-year-old, with some of her guests not speaking to her because they believed her stepson's speech.

But the torments from her stepson did not stop. One time, after a disagreement, Avery took the 39-year-old's cat to a shelter outside of their town and only told her where it was when it was put down.

When she posted her confession, people thought she hid information to make herself look innocent. So she added an update on July 31, 2020, and said she had lost her temper with Avery many times.

However, she made it clear to him that she would not be taking on a motherly role. When things got out of hand, she would call Dianna, and the most she had disciplined him was telling him to go to his room.

The woman came back with an even more shocking update. She said two weeks after sharing her story, Avery stabbed her. She was rushed to the hospital and decided to file a police report. There was not enough evidence to arrest the teen, but Dave was angry at her for taking Avery to the police.

Seeing her life had already been threatened, the woman decided to leave her marriage. She escaped, filed for divorce, and worked on getting a restraining order against Avery. In waiting for the divorce to be finalized, she started going to therapy and focused on staying away from Dave and his son.

Dave, on the other hand, also started dating someone shortly after the divorce was finalized, but the relationship ended too. The Redditor believes it was because Avery threatened to kill her too.

According to her, Avery broke into his mother's house to get a gun out of her safe, which he reportedly used to scare his father's new girlfriend.

A few months later, the woman got a call from Dianna telling her Avery had died. He was suspected to have ended his life, but the details were not clear.
