Kane Brown is a country music star whose mom, Tabatha Brown and other family members shaped his taste in music by exposing him to various artists. The singer's mom had to raise her son in poverty but fortunately had a few family members she could lean on.
Kane Brown has become a country music sensation for his sultry voice, award-winning songs, and piercing blue-green eyes. However, the Tennessee native has his mother, Tabatha Brown, to thank, as her love for country music led her to expose her son to greats like Shania Twain and Sugarland.
Tabatha Brown was a single mother who financially struggled to raise her children, as Kane Brown's biological father has been incarcerated since 1996. However, the "Heaven" singer could not be more grateful for his mom and is glad his success means he can give back to those who raised him.
Kane Brown's Mother Had Help Raising Him
Kane had an unstable childhood in the South and went back and forth between living in homes and sleeping in a car with his mother. Fortunately, the country singer's mom could rely on the support of Kane's grandmother and aunt while raising him. Kane shared:
"They just did this good job. My mom was basically my dad, (and) my nana was my mom. And it's just awesome being raised by women because I can relate to them so much. [...] I love them very much."
Kane Brown Was Abused by One of His Mother's Partners
In 2020, Tabatha took to Facebook to reveal she was in a relationship; however, during her son's childhood, she once dated a man who physically abused her son. Kane once opened up about the unsettling details of the abuse he suffered at the hands of his stepfather.

Tabatha's son also had to endure racially fueled bullying growing up. "I'm biracial; I didn't know that until I was 7 or 8 years old," the "Thank God" singer, born to a white mother and half Cherokee, half black father, said.
How Kane Brown Has Helped His Mom since Becoming Successful
During an interview in 2018, a few years after finding success as a singer, Kane revealed he had used his fortune to buy his mother a car, pay for her apartment and insurance for a year, and more.
In 2014, Tabatha's son took to social media to celebrate her in honor of Mother's Day. The following year, the singer sweetly dedicated another Facebook post to his mother, featuring a picture of him kissing her cheek.
Tabatha Brown Opened Up about Getting Botox
At the time of writing, Tabatha had hundreds of friends on Facebook, which revealed her previous place of employment had been Amazon. However, earlier this year, Kane Brown's mother shared in a post that she would join her sister in the cosmetics industry and sell beauty products.
Around the same time, Tabatha shared with her followers that she had gotten around 30 injections of Botox and joked that she couldn't rub her lips together to smooth out her lipstick because of it. Her followers praised her new look in the comments section.
