Mike McCready's Wife, Ashley O'Connor, Is a Star in Her Own Right
While her husband is making waves in the music industry, O'Connor is successful in her professional career. She holds a business degree from California State University, a master's degree in political science from the University of Illinois, and a law degree from Seattle University.
She has been a board and campaign committee member of Advocacy for Patients, Crohn's and Colitis Foundation, Team Gleason, Treehouse, Path with Art, and Youthcare. She is also on the board of WashIP, serves as the AELG board secretary, and is a clerk with the Court of Appeals, Division One for Judge Leonard Feldman.

Ashley O'Connor Advocated for Same-Sex Marriage
In 2012, O'Connor advocated for passing Washington State's Ref 74, which allowed same-sex marriage, provided exceptions and immunity for some religious institutions, and registered domestic same-sex partnerships as civil marriages.

Ashley O'Connor Joins Fundraisers with Her Husband
Besides her professional work, O'Connor joins fundraisers with McCready. In 2019, the couple became honorary chairs for the Splash! Gala, after being supporters of the Seattle Aquarium. The couple said:
"The ocean isn't just a place of awe and beauty; it's the source of all life on Earth and where we all came from... Now, more than ever, we need to be present and aware of how our choices impact the ocean's health and, ultimately, our own."
The Seattle Aquarium's Gala was a successful event that seated 600 attendees. The event also raised more than $1 million to support their projects, mainly as they aim to inspire marine environment conservation.
O'Connor and McCready are also co-chairs for the New Home board, spearheading a fundraiser for radio station KEXP. The goal was to reach the $15 million needed to build a new Seattle Center home. McCready wanted to do a benefit show to help, and Pike Place Market in Seattle seemed like the best option.
When not doing charitable work and working, O'Connor is a loving mother to three children. Although little is known about her kids, she and her husband sometimes involve them in their advocacies. She also once commissioned artist Kate Neckel to paint an abstract family portrait for them.
