Rob Delaney's Wife Is a Teacher

Rob Delaney and his wife, Leah Delaney, have been together for many years. They share three children, but sadly, one of them died. Leah, who is a teacher, met her husband when he was in his 20s.

The pair, who once lived in London, have been married for nearly two decades. They met while volunteering in Massachusetts, helping disabled people. Despite knowing each other for many years, Leah's husband confessed during an interview in 2020 that he was still madly in love with her.

Rob then gave insights into their relationship, revealing that he loved spending time with her and describing Leah as an interesting person with a great sense of humor.

Despite the difficulties, he paid a touching tribute to Henry, describing him as intelligent, funny, and a source of immense joy in their lives.

Leah and her husband have kept the spark in their marriage alive by doing fun things together. Rob revealed that he and Leah read the same book and read aloud to each other. He then stressed that even though they have a happy life together, they have problems like any other couple.

Rob and His Wife, Leah Delaney, Chose Not to Have More Kids

Leah's husband discussed their family situation, mentioning that they had decided not to have any more biological children. Instead, he said if they were to consider expanding their family further, they would explore the option of adoption or fostering.

The actor and comedian emphasized that his wife had gone through pregnancies for their children, and he wanted her to have more freedom and opportunities to explore new aspects of life.

Rob and Leah's marriage has faced significant challenges, particularly the heartbreaking loss of their two-year-old son, Henry, in 2018. He was born in 2016 and was diagnosed with a brain tumor shortly after celebrating his first birthday.

Coping with the Loss of Their Child

In early 2017, Henry underwent surgery to remove the tumor, but tragically, the cancer returned during the summer of 2017. Rob shared their son's journey with a brain tumor in a detailed Facebook post, highlighting the physical disabilities that resulted from the surgery.

Despite the difficulties, he paid a touching tribute to Henry, describing him as intelligent, funny, and a source of immense joy in their lives. Coping with the loss of their son was not easy for Rob and his wife Leah, and neither was sharing the experience of losing a child.

In an interview, Leah's husband mentioned that he chose to share their story with bravery and vulnerability in the hope of assisting others in navigating their own grief.

On April 16, 2018, two months after their son's passing, Rob shared a photo of Henry, revealing that their son would have celebrated his 3rd birthday that day. This poignant tribute served as a way to remember and honor their beloved child.
