Harrison Ford is a phenomenal actor who has made numerous films in his decades-long acting career. Ford's movies, such as in the "Star Wars" and "Indiana Jones" franchises, have captivated and entertained people globally.

In 2023, Ford filmed his final film in the "Indiana Jones" franchise titled "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny." Even in his older years, he is busier than ever and enjoys making movies more than he ever did.

The legendary star has achieved a lot in his acting career, but he is not ready to pack it in anytime soon. "The Blade Runner" star was surprised with a warm reception at this year's Cannes Film Festival during the screening of his fifth and last film, "Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny." The audience gave him a standing ovation that lasted five minutes after the screening ended.

Ford was also moved when he was awarded an honorary Palme d'Or, also called the Lifetime Achievement Award, at the festival. A visibly emotional Ford gave a speech accepting this major career award. He said he was very touched and moved by the recognition.

Ford also thanked his wife, Calista Flockhart, for supporting his dreams and passion and expressed his love for her. "My life has been enabled by my lovely wife...,and I am grateful," he noted. The actor also acknowledged his fans and the audience for giving his life purpose and meaning and shared his love with them.

Ford even went skydiving for the first time with Liam in New Zealand.

The movie star's final "Indiana Jones" movie had him saying goodbye to the character and the franchise. The actor said it wasn't bittersweet saying goodbye to the character and the franchise as it was time for him to grow up. He added that the last film rounded up the franchise's story to a great conclusion.

The last "Indiana Jones" film brought out the theme of age, which Ford wanted to address before its conclusion. The 81-year-old actor, who portrayed Indiana Jones in his 40s in the film, said the de-aging done on him turned out very realistic as the face that registered on the screen reflected exactly how he looked 35 years ago.

Despite the de-aging artificial intelligence technology that brought the younger version of his character to the screen, Ford doesn't look back and wishes he was young again. The actor said he is happy with his age and being older. He added that at his age now, he could be dead, but it was great that he was still working.

Ford loves to work. When he was asked if he was contemplating retirement, the actor said he loves feeling useful and helpful. The actor isn't ready to retire yet, and he said the thing he loves most about filmmaking is the people he gets to work with. Ford enjoys how they all collaborate to create a magnificent piece of art.

The "Air Force One" actor said he was ready to let go of "Indiana Jones," sit down and rest a little bit as much as he was in love with the character. However, this rest from "Indiana Jones" doesn't equal his retirement. The actor still loves to work, create stories, and bring them to life. He added that he is so lucky in life to have the opportunity to tell good stories.

Despite his desire to keep acting and creating stories, fans are now calling for Ford to retire. A fan said Ford was no longer "performing" and needed to retire the character of "Indiana Jones." While fans are begging Ford to retire, he is grateful for his wife's support of his acting career, which has helped him work harder even in his older years. The couple have been together since 2002 and got married eight years after they met.
