Alisha Biehn came into Al Joyner's life four years after he lost his first wife, Florence Griffith Joyner, aka Flo Jo. The pair started a family together but went through some growing pains with his daughter from his first marriage.

Alisha Biehn is the second wife of Olympic gold medalist Al Joyner and the mother of Skylar Joyner and Jayden Joyner. She does not have an online presence.

Al and his first wife Florence were professional athletes, once known as the 'first couple of track and field.' After a premonition of her death, Florence begged Al to remarry if she died and promised she would send him a sign. She passed away in 1998. They had one child, Mary Joyner.

Florence Griffith Sent Al Joyner a 'Sign' to Marry Alisha Biehn

It was four years after Florence's death that Al's friends convinced him to go out one night when he met Alisha. The blond runner did not recognize him and was raving about his sister, Jackie Joyner-Kersee, and Florence.

He was impressed by her reaction when he came clean about his identity; she was not intimidated by the fairytale love story with his first wife, "She was the first woman I'd come across who wasn't wondering, 'Could he love me that way?'"

His friends could see a difference in him as they began dating. A smile returned to his face. After driving home from a basketball game one night, K-Ci and JoJo's "All My Life'' played on the radio.

On hearing the lyrics ("Close to me you're like my mother/Close to me you're like my father"), Alisha dedicated the song to the Olympian. "I had a tear in my eye, and I smiled," Al says.

Skylar announced her "commitment to run D1 track."

"I said, 'Wow, you're the one,'" he added, "That's when I knew. As Florence said, I just knew." The couple wed in June 2003 in a ceremony draped in garlands of purple and pink flowers.

Alisha Biehn Became a Stepmom and Had Two More Children with Al Joyner

Having 12-year-old Mary sing at the wedding did not mean she approved of the union. She went through a rebellious phase but found peace at 16 when her dad gave her letters her mother had written with the instruction to be opened then.

Alisha and Al welcomed their daughter Skylar in February 2004 and had a son, Jayden, in March 2006. The family had a rare red carpet-appearance at the Acura/KOST celebrity benefit concert and pageant in 2013.

Skylar announced her "commitment to run D1 track at San Jose State University" in May 2022. Her events are hurdles, pentathlon, and heptathlon. Jayden's dad shared a slideshow set to Pharrell's "Happy" on his 17th birthday.

Alisha and Al's marriage did not last. It is unclear when the couple separated, and there is no information about their divorce. They were not photographed together frequently during their marriage. In August 2018, he posted a photo of a woman named Cynthia.

"My queen, my love, my peace," he wrote, "my joy, my rock, my blessing from God....I love you." He referred to her as his wife in a 2020 Valentine's post, and they celebrated an anniversary on December 31, 2021.
