On why they never moved to London, where most actors resided, Kate said she enjoys balancing her career and personal life in Glasgow. She also shared her belief that actors should not be seen as less committed to their craft because they live far away.

Living under the same roof, Kenny has seen Kate's intriguing behaviors, as she becomes deeply immersed in filming projects.

She admitted that Kenny has observed her becoming less accessible in her personal life during these intensive work periods. This intense work often leads her to murmur in her bed at night. Kenny's partner said:

"We should really have a spare room when it comes to shoots. He says it's like living with someone else. I'm not methody…I just get lost in the thoughts."

During one interview, she was caught off guard when the journalist asked if she was close to her "Red Road" co-star Tony Curran. She felt annoyed at the question and defended her relationship with her partner and daughter.

To her surprise, the reporter who wrote about her mentioned in the article that she was "quite happy" with her partner and daughter, which led to an embarrassing misunderstanding with Kenny. This incident left her feeling tricked and shocked.
