"There's one last thing; it's not really a tradition. It's not really something that goes within the Catholic church or normal weddings," the groom started.

He then lifted the young girl and asked her to come up to the stage. He knelt in front of her, held her hands, and said:

"Not only today did I marry your mom, but I accepted you as my daughter. I promise to always take care of you."
