Mira Sorvino’s Daughter Mattea Is All Grown & Taller than Her in New Snaps
Mira Sorvino's daughter Mattea has grown into a lovely woman, using her platform for more significant causes. The mother-and-daughter duo posed for a picture together, which the former actress posted on her Instagram.
Mira Sorvino is an Oscar Award-winning actress. She starred in Woody Allen's "Mighty Aphrodite" and "Romy and Michele's High School Reunion" with Lisa Kudrow.
In the past two decades, however, Sorvino chose to stay out of big-ticket productions. Instead, she joined TV and indie movie productions occasionally.
The reason for exiting Hollywood despite her fame was to focus on her family life. She married actor Christopher Backus, and together they share four children, admitting:
"I used to work all year long and basically live in hotel rooms. Kudos to women who can pull that off, but I don't want my kids raised by nannies. I have the best children and husband. I'm really, really blessed."
Sorvino couldn't survive prolonged periods away from her children. She constantly turned down lucrative deals if they required being away from home.
Ultimately, her devotion paid off. She shares tight-knit bonds with all her children, and it's been the most fulfilling thing for her.
Her daughter Mattea is all grown up and a dancer like her mother. They recently shared the stage on "Dancing With The Stars," where they had a three-person dance to "Time After Time."
She shared their collaboration through a beautiful snap where the mother-and-daughter duo looked effortlessly beautiful. The snap showed that the actress' daughter is now taller than her, clearly showing just how fast time has gone.
Mattea showcases her talent every time she can. In 2020, she tied up with the United Nations to choreograph and perform a dance piece dedicated to the victims and survivors of human trafficking.
Mattea's choreographed dance was shown on live streams that aimed to raise money for anti-trafficking efforts. "If we all work together we can make a difference and hopefully slavery can end in our time," she wrote on Instagram.
