Jason Momoa Reunited with His High School Girlfriend after 25 Years

Lindsay Aaron lined up to meet and greet her high school sweetheart after over two decades. The two fell in love in Iowa before Aaron started watching him on the big screen.

Jason Momoa may be a big name in the entertainment industry today, but many years ago, he was an average soccer player at Norwalk High School, a suburban school in Iowa.

It was in the same institution that he met fellow student Lindsay Aaron and asked her out in his junior year of high school. Aaron initially thought Momoa was a boy with many girls chasing after him, so she turned him down right away.

However, Momoa was persistent and sought help from a mutual friend to convince Aaron. She eventually gave him a chance, and their courtship began. During their relationship, the pair bonded over frisbee games, mini-golf, and watching "La Femme Nikita."

Unfortunately, their romance ended after high school. In 1997, Momoa graduated and moved to Colorado while she remained in Iowa. They reconnected a year later after she graduated high school.

Momoa asked Aaron out again, but to his dismay, she turned him down as she was already in a relationship. They haven't seen each other for years, at least until most recently at Norwalk.

The "Aquaman" star visited the area to promote his premium spirit brand, Meili Vodka, on October 16, 2023. To his surprise, Aaron was one of the hundreds who lined up to greet him. She said:

"Seeing him on screen, it's comforting. He worked hard all through high school."

A lot has changed in the years since being apart from Aaron. She tied the knot and welcomed three kids. She also went through a divorce. Meanwhile, Momoa married Lisa Bonet, his partner for over a decade, in 2017, had two children with her, and divorced in 2022. Months later, he had a short-lived relationship with Eiza Gonzalez.

An insider claimed that Momoa and Gonzales were "just very different people." However, the two would still hang out after the split and were seen going on a ride on the actor's Harley-Davidson motorcycle.

Known for his roles in "Aquaman" and "Game of Thrones," Momoa was raised by his mother on the mainland but was born in Hawaii. His father, Joseph Momoa, discouraged him from living on the island in hopes of finding better opportunities on the mainland.

Although Momoa moved out of Iowa years ago, he still visits his hometown every once so often. He sometimes shares glimpses of his return on social media.
