He starred alongside Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, and Matt LeBlanc in the beloved series that aired for ten seasons from 1994 to 2004.
Almost a year ago, Perry released his memoir, "Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing," in which he discussed his life story filled with highs and lows. He explained he wanted to share his life with others before he relapsed, adding:
"[...] And the main thing was, I was pretty certain that it would help people."

Perry had battled addiction for several years and had been in and out of rehab many times. In his book, he revealed that he had faced a near-death experience when he was 49 years old.
"The Whole Nine Yards" star had reportedly suffered from a gastrointestinal perforation after his colon burst from opioid overuse, and spent weeks fighting for his life in the hospital.

Perry was in a coma for two weeks and was admitted to the hospital for five months, and used a colostomy bag for nine months. Doctors told him that he only had a 2% chance of survival. But the Massachusetts native eventually beat the odds and sobered up, as he admitted that he was "healthy" in a 2022 interview.
Perry's Tragic Death at His Home
Sadly, Perry was found dead on October 28, 2023, at his Los Angeles residence. Sources reportedly revealed that he came home after a two-hour round of pickleball and sent his assistant on an errand run after.
Once the said assistant returned after being away for two hours, he discovered the Hollywood star unresponsive and dialed 911. Multiple sources disclosed that first responders hurried over to his home on a call for cardiac arrest.
However, it remains a mystery what actually caused Perry's death. The police revealed that he appeared to have drowned as he was found in a jacuzzi.
There were reportedly no drugs found at the scene, and there appears to be no foul play either. The beloved star's cause of death is reportedly under investigation.
