Matthew Perry reached the height of fame as the lovable character Chandler Bing on the hit American sitcom "Friends" in the '90s. In recent years, he has opened up about his struggle with substance addiction.

While each tribute was moving, one has moved fans more than others. Perry's ex-fiancée, Molly Hurwitz, has shared her thoughts on losing Perry.

Who Is Molly Hurwitz?

Hurwitz and Perry became engaged in November 2020 after dating in 2018. The pair shared a 22-year age gap but were happy despite the criticism they faced about their relationship.

Shortly after he proposed, Perry shared his feelings on the matter. He talked about his fiancée, saying:

"I decided to get engaged. Luckily, I happened to be dating the greatest woman on the face of the planet at this time."

However, in June 2021, Perry and Hurwitz announced that they would be going their separate ways. Perry and literary manager Hurwitz remained on good terms after their breakup, each wishing the other the best.

Despite his breakup with Hurwitz, Perry said he was still looking forward to becoming a husband and a father one day because he had worked hard at no longer being afraid of being in love.

He believed he would have been a good father but said he first needed to find someone who was self-reliant and was not with him just for his money.

What Was Hurwitz's Tribute?

Like many others, Hurwitz posted a tribute to her ex-fiancée shortly after the news broke. On October 30, Hurwitz posted a photo of Perry's silhouette before a Christmas scene.

She began the post by saying that Perry would have loved that everyone was talking about how talented he was before confirming that he was indeed an incredibly gifted man.

Hurwitz shared some of their final moments, in which Perry was preparing for the "Friends" reunion, and the then-couple rewatched the entire series together to study his scenes. She gushed: "Being with him as he rediscovered his brilliance was magical."

Hurwitz also reflected on the difficult times in their relationship, saying he was complicated and caused her pain. However, she was grateful for the impact he had had on her during their time together.

The literary manager said she learned a lot during her time with the famous actor and ended her post by saying:

"Matty, I feel relief that you are at peace."

Hurwitz's post was met with likes from her followers. However, Hurwitz turned off the comments on the post. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Perry's passing. RIP, Matthew Perry.
