Sarah Jessica Parker is happily married to Matthew Broderick, and together, the lovebirds share three children. The Hollywood couple welcomed two daughters and one son.

In November 2022, award-winning A-list actress Sarah walked the red carpet alongside her twin daughters, Tabitha and Marion, a rare public appearance for the girls then.

Prevention magazine posted a photo of the showbiz star and her daughters on Facebook at the time, with a caption that read: "They look just like their mom!"

However, Facebook users begged to differ, with one person writing, "They look like their Dad!" Someone else echoed the same sentiments, penning, "I see the father more," alongside a smiling face emoji.

Meanwhile, one other individual mentioned that Sarah's son is more of her lookalike and commented, "Her son looks just like her; the girls look more like their dad."

Sarah & Matthew Announce They Are Expecting Twins via Surrogate

In April 2009, Sarah and her husband Matthew revealed that they were expecting not one but two girls through surrogacy. The mom-to-be expressed how she and her family felt about the new additions in an interview a month later in May:

"I'm excited. I'm in disbelief. I'm really grateful. I feel really fortunate. My son is so excited, my husband is so excited."

Sarah also explained why she decided to go the surrogacy route to have her kids, sharing that she and Matthew, who are also parents to their eldest child, James, had tried to grow their family for several years and explored numerous options to do that, adding:

"[…] This was one of the things we discussed with seriousness that had real possibilities for us."

Since having kids through surrogacy is not always a guarantee, the film producer was asked whether she and the veteran actor had their fair share of disappointments, and she said:

"Yeah, I mean, I couldn't pretend otherwise. It would be a complicated – it would be odd to have made this choice if I was able to, you know, have successful pregnancies since my son's birth."

Sarah also shared her reaction to the news, saying, "I mean, giggles!" while adding the outcome was unexpected. She explained that after a while, she learned not to have high expectations to avoid disappointment and that although one child would have been a blessing, "two was a comedy!"

The Twins Are Now 14 & Have Different Personalities

Sarah and Matthew welcomed their daughters Marion and Tabitha in June 2009. Several years later, Sarah admitted that she, at times, forgets that Marion and Tabitha are twins. In a February 2018 interview, the mother of three revealed the two have different personalities:

"They have different interests. They're really devoted to each other, but they'll also say, 'I need time away from her.'"

The two-time Emmy Award winner divulged Tabitha can play alone for hours while Marion does the checking in from time to time. The duo even attends different schools, which, according to mom, was Tabitha's suggestion.

In addition, the kids' father, Matthew, revealed during an appearance on "LIVE with Kelly and Mark" in June 2023 that the girls initially wanted to go to different high schools but have since decided to go to the same high school in 2024.

The Golden Globe nominee divulged, "They're extremely close, but they also definitely want their own space, and their own friends, and their own time."

That same month, in June 2023, Matthew's wife also talked about their daughters in another interview. Sarah was asked whether the girls had watched the hit sitcom "Sex and the City," wherein she plays Carrie Bradshaw alongside Cynthia Nixon, Chris Noth, and Kim Cattrall, and she said:

"No, they have not. They'll be 14, as you know, at the end of this month."

The four-time Golden Globe Award winner further mentioned that for now, the show is not something that has crossed Tabitha and Marion's "viewing radar, and perhaps it never will."

However, the doting mom revealed the siblings are aware of the series to the point where they have shown interest in watching it. But that topic is not so much important in their lives.

Still, Tabitha and Marion will be able to watch their famous parents co-star in a Neil Simon play production in 2024, a project their mom expressed they were all looking forward to.

Moreover, the girls are in awe of their mother's success. In February 2022, Sarah shared the twins' reaction when they realized that she was the star cover of Vogue magazine. According to the Ohio native, her daughters covered their mouths in disbelief and said, "Mama! You're on the cover of Vogue?"

While Tabitha and Marion are now teenagers, their older brother James is an adult. Sarah and Matthew welcomed their only son, who is now 21 years old, in October 2002.

The couple dated for five years before they wed on May 19, 1997, in New York. They said their "I dos" in front of 100 of their closest friends whom they had blindsided into thinking they were attending a party, but it turned out that it was a surprise wedding.

The bride walked down the aisle in a black wedding dress, and when asked in February 2018 when she realized that Matthew was the one, Sarah admitted that thought never crossed her mind.

"I never thought about a wedding dress. Never. Had not one daydream about it," said the movie star. However, Sarah once hoped for Matthew to ask for her hand in marriage, which was earlier on in their relationship.

She and her love have been married for 26 years, and when asked how they keep their union happy throughout their time together, she said it keeps evolving. Their needs keep "shifting," and liking each other also helps.

As for how the pair are raising their children, the family matriarch explained they prioritize having family discussions, adding she is happy at how their son and daughters communicate with them. According to Sarah, the couple's kids are "curious" individuals, and she is glad about that.
