Hollywood legend Ben Stiller, 57, has built up an incredibly successful career as an actor and comedian in the entertainment industry. Having been raised by parents who were heavily involved in show business, the star followed in his mom's and dad's footsteps.

His late mother, Anne Meara, was a well-known and talented comedic actress, and his late father, Jerry Stiller, was also a comedian and actor. Together, the husband and wife took the comedy world by storm in the 60s when they became original members of an improvisational troupe called Compass Players.

Their duo, "Stiller & Meara," performed popular skits on the television show "Toast of the Town," where they appeared 36 times before variety television grew less popular. Following the dissolution of their act, Anne Meara went on to garner roles in other television series and later scored reoccurring roles on hit shows like "Sex and the City," and "The King of Queens."

Jerry pursued Broadway and quickly became a favorite within the play circuit, starring in numerous successful productions, and years later, he went on to star in "Seinfeld." In 1997, he was nominated for an Emmy, and in 1998, he won the American Comedy Award.

He even appeared in some of his son's movie productions, like "Zoolander," and "The Heartbreak Kid." Like his late dad, Ben passed down the acting gene to his son, whom he shares with his wife, actress Christine Taylor.

Last month, the 18-year-old actor, born in 2005, made a rare red carpet appearance with his parents. Quinlin and his parents had stepped out to attend Project ALS's 25th Anniversary Gala to show support for the fight against the disease.

While previously catching up with a media outlet during an event, the "Night at the Museum" talent and his wife spoke about their family.

"The Craft" actress sported an elegant look in a little black dress fitted with white bows trailing down one side and ending with a slit. She complemented her look with black and silver earrings, a pair of black open-toe sandals with embellished straps, and a red lip.

On the other hand, her dashing husband and son opted for a father-son-coordinated look. Both wore chic navy suits, button-down formal dress shirts underneath, and different shades of blue ties.

Upon seeing the pictures of Ben and Taylor's son looking dapper in his midnight blue suit and his hair coiffed back, many people asserted that he resembles his late grandfather. While comparing Quinlin with his grandfather, who had a legendary story, one person commented:

"Their son looks like his Grandpa Stiller!..."

While the same person also commended the family for supporting an important cause, others continued to marvel at the physical similarity between the grandpa and grandson. Another person even went so far as to state that Quinlin does not look like his parents.

The comment about Quinlin not looking like either of his parents does not take away from the fact that the 18-year-old and his older sister share a close bond with their mom and dad. In fact, both Ben and his wife have expressed how important family is to them.

While previously catching up with a media outlet during an event, the "Night at the Museum" talent and his wife spoke about their family. Of their time spent together, doting dad Ben disclosed:

Regarding movies, particularly Ben and Taylor's productions, the 57-year-old and his wife also admitted that their kids, especially their son, are the toughest critics. He explained that Quinlin's knack for constructive feedback stems from his discerning personality and being sure about what he likes.

Interestingly, though his kids may be film connoisseurs to some degree, according to their father, they have only seen one of his movies. Although they may not have shown particular interest in their dad's films, Ben quipped that they will come around sometime.

When it comes to being a father, Ben adopts an all-hands-on-deck attitude, like the time he canceled a crucial work meeting to be there to take Quinlin to a doctor's appointment. The young actor had injured his knee playing Nerf basketball and needed surgery to repair it, so his dad dropped what he was supposed to be working on to be there for his son.

In a past interview, Ben shared some words about his son, who loves basketball. Of Quinlin, who was 13 and a half then, the father of two said:

"...he's like a real—like a nice, innocent 13-and-a-half-year-old..."

Like her once nice, innocent 13-and-a-half-year-old brother and her parents, Ella Stiller also shares a passion for the arts, although she has been quite vocal regarding how her dad's busy schedule affects her and Quinlin. According to Ben:

"She's pretty articulate about it, and sometimes it's stuff that I don't want to hear. It's hard to hear...but it's important to acknowledge."

Though Ben admitted to fatherhood not always being an easy journey to navigate, he asserted that his acknowledgment of the fundamental attributes that his kids want from him as their father remains what is most vital.

Far from being fussed about the big star he is and keeping tabs on all his accomplishments, Ben knows that Quinlin and Ella simply want a dad who is supportive and emotionally present, which he holds as the top priority.
