The former governor has three children, Mariah, Cara, and Michaela, with author and activist Kerry Kennedy. He shares a very close relationship with his daughters, who have all built successful careers for themselves.
Cuomo, who was at the forefront of informing the public about COVID-19 just as it broke out, confessed that he knew that it would become something big. So he warned his daughters and convinced them to come home before things took a turn for the worse.
The politician was not wrong about the turn of events, so he quarantined with his daughters during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. The proud father said he knew he wanted them close to him, but most importantly, he needed them with him during this scary time.
Meet Andrew Cuomo's Three Daughters.
Mariah, Cara, and Michaela come from a big political dynasty and have grown up not afraid to use their voices. The eldest are twins Mariah and Cara, who were born on January 11, 1995.
One of the twins, Mariah, went to Brown University, where she majored in History and graduated with honors. While at university, she wrote for The Brown Daily Herald and used the platform to shed light on various social issues like teacher shortages and wage abuses endured by disabled people.
Now, Mariah has built herself up to become an associate at Teneo, a global CEO consulting and advisory firm. Outside of her impressive career strides, she also loves to spend time outdoors. She loves to surf and take part in sailboat adventures. Mariah also recently announced that she was engaged.
According to her LinkedIn, her twin sister Cara completed her bachelor's degree in Massachusetts, where she majored in Government, Ethnicity Migration, and Human Rights. Just like her twin, she wrote for the Harvard Human Rights Review and advocated for different humanitarian causes.
Cara's humanitarian work at the university landed her a position as an associate at the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights nonprofit, which her mother leads. Michaela is the youngest of the Cuomo daughters and was born on August 26, 1997. She also decided to go to Brown University. As per her LinkedIn, she studied education and Human Development, focusing on Social Inequality.
Like her older sisters, she also used her voice and wrote for the Brown Political Review. Michaela had a packed schedule because, in addition to working as a cultural writer, she was a sexual assault peer educator and started an organization called CUSP that helped prevent sexual assault on campus.
Michaela has taken her passion for activism to bigger heights. She launched a campaign called "It’s on Us," which urges bystanders to speak up about sexual assault. The initiative was established under the Obama administration.
The 26-year-old also uses her voice on social media, where she also came out as queer and continued to educate her followers on the spectrum of sexualities.
The Cuomo family has their hands full with the different initiatives and organizations they work with. So, During Thanksgiving week, Cuomo shared a sweet photo of him and his daughters in Sicily, Italy, and expressed how thankful he was to have finally traveled with his children for a long overdue holiday.
Fans were happy to see the former governor with his grown daughters. Commenters said Cuomo was lucky to be blessed with such beautiful daughters.
