Gwyneth Paltrow shares a close bond with her ex-husband's current girlfriend, Dakota Johnson, and fans can't help but praise her. She recently shared a sweet photo of them bonding outdoors.

It doesn't often happen that a person is friends with their ex-husband's girlfriend. However, Gwyneth Paltrow happens to be close with Chris Martin's lover, Dakota Johnson.

The "Iron Man" star recently shared an Instagram story with Johnson, holding hands while smiling at the camera. Dressed in clothes for the cold weather, the two stood side-by-side in the middle of a narrow road and posed.

Fans immediately commented on the photo, praising the two women for putting their emotions aside for friendship. "Beautiful! Simply beautiful! And this is exactly the way it should be!" one fan said.

Meanwhile, others shared that there was nothing wrong with being friends with an ex's lover, adding that they, too, had good relationships with their counterparts. Another fan poked fun at the situation and jokingly said, "Dakota you have no idea where her hand has been! Be safe."

Paltrow previously admitted that she and the "Fifty Shades of Grey" star were close friends who admired each other. Martin's ex-wife had nothing but kind words to say about his current lover, adding that they have spent a lot of time together in the past few years.

Johnson even joined the former couple's family trip to Aspen, Colorado, alongside their teenage kids, Apple and Moses. Paltrow and Martin, who tied the knot in 2003, went separate ways after eleven years. Nevertheless, they remain committed to raising their kids together.

The mom-of-two once opened up about co-parenting and admitted that it wasn't difficult to do so. "We've learned to communicate with each other. We love each other," she said.

While she knows being friends with her ex-husband's girlfriend may be unconventional, she is satisfied with the relationship she has with everyone. She is also grateful to Martin for being a wonderful father and believes he was meant to be Apple and Moses' dad.

Paltrow sometimes gives fans a glimpse of her personal life through Instagram. Previously, she shared a rare picture of her daughter, Apple Martin, who looked just like she did in the '90s. Fans could not help but point out the strong resemblance between mother and daughter.
