Love has undoubtedly been unwithered for Alan and Denise Jackson. The long-lasting couple recently celebrated their 44th wedding anniversary with a photo together on Instagram, where they both donned fashionable outfits.

Denise looked beautiful and elegant in a gold leather-like jacket paired with a turtle neck top, while her husband rocked a light brown cowboy hat, a vibrant and colorful button-down top, and jeans.

The couple did not gatekeep their secret to a long-lasting marriage and revealed that the key lies in putting in the effort to stay in love and nurture a strong connection. The "Remember When" artist emphasized the importance of quality time with his partner throughout the day, whether it's as simple as talking over morning coffee or having dinner in a restaurant.

"We try to get out and go to dinner or hang out and go to the movies or something. We build a fire and have some wine and a nice evening," Alan revealed. They also make it a point to go to bed together unless one is away. "It's just the little things," he added, that help their marriage stay strong.

While their marriage is beautiful today, it did not come without hardship. As Denise recalled, they also experienced ups and downs, including Alan's infidelities, which his wife forgave.

Denise revealed that she had no choice but to forgive her husband in order to get her marriage back. The couple had a brief separation in 1997, but when they reconciled, their relationship changed for the better, with God at its center.

Recently, Alan walked his daughter down the aisle to marry a man, four years after her spouse passed away. His daughter, Mattie Denise Jackson, shared her experience as a young widow falling in love again.
