Tom Hanks' Son Shares New Rare Father-Son Photo – 'Your Twin' Fans Amazed

The son of Hollywood legend Tom Hanks shared a rare picture of himself and his dad, and fans were left amazed by the resemblance shared between the two. Many who saw the photograph dubbed Chet his father's "twin."

Acting icon Tom Hanks' son, Chet Hanks, recently took to Instagram to post a rare father-son photograph. The social media image shows Tom sitting next to Chet as the two pose for the camera.

While Tom adorned a black beanie, clear specs framing his blue eyes, and a green jacket, his 33-year-old son rocked an LA cap, a white shirt, and a blue jacket. Chet's caption included a slang word that is colloquially used to indicate a close bond between people.

When social media users saw Chet's picture, many marveled at how closely the dad and son resemble each other and dubbed Chet Tom's "twin." Another fan said that Chet has his father's "eyes," while someone else expressed, "Your twin ❤️."

Although fans may think that Tom and Chet resemble each other so much to the point that someone implied that they could be brothers, the pair are different in other ways. Chet is quite a colorful character and has an affinity for Jamaican culture.

In fact, the actor and rapper went viral in 2020 after speaking Patois (a nonstandard version of speech typically associated with Jamacains) during an interview at the Golden Globes.

Even though most people interpreted the gesture as a form of cultural appropriation, Chet said that he had Jamaicans who sent him messages saying they respected what he did. He expressed, "The Jamaican people showed me the most love hands down."

Another way Chet is different from Tom concerns personality traits. Chet said that his dad and his mom, Rita Wilson, tend to be reserved people who are do-gooders. However, as confirmed by the unapologetic and expressive actor, he wouldn't trade them for any other parents.
