In a candid interview, Sofia Vergara recently revealed the reason for her broken marriage with her ex-husband, Joe Manganiello. Despite being single again, the actress feels positive and fulfilled.

She recently gave fans a glimpse of her personal life, including the reason behind her divorce from fellow actor Joe Manganiello, with whom she was in a ten-year relationship. Seven of them were spent as husband and wife.

"My marriage broke up because my husband was younger; he wanted to have kids, and I didn't want to be an old mom," she revealed, adding that it would have been unfair to the baby. Nevertheless, she is open to becoming a grandma through her 32-year-old son. "I'm ready to be a grandmother, not a mother," she added.

Vergara, who is admittedly almost in the menopausal stage, wants to care for her son's child, should the blessing come. However, she is open to doing this for a while before returning her grandchild to her son.

Vergara and Manganiello announced their divorce due to irreconcilable differences in July 2023, taking their joint statement about the separation to the media. At that time, the "Modern Family" star went on vacation with her friends to celebrate her birthday in Italy with no sight of her husband in photos posted.

Not long after, news of their divorce settlement reached the internet, with the actress looking to enforce their prenuptial terms. She requested some assets, such as artwork and jewelry, including her earrings before and after the union, to remain in her name.

A few months later, Sofia Vergara was spotted on a date with Justin Saliman. The two were previously seen dining in the Beverly Hills area and again on another outdoor hangout. Despite the speculation, the actress has remained silent.

Beyond her family life and relationships, Vergara feels fulfillment in other aspects, including her long-standing career as a host in "America's Got Talent" and her clothing business.
