Valerie Bertinelli's Son & His Stunning New Wife Make First-Ever Red Carpet Appearance after Wedding

Wolfgang Van Halen and Andraia Allsop attended the 2024 MusiCares 33rd annual Person of the Year event side-by-side, looking fantastic in matching black ensembles.

Eddie Van Halen and Valerie Bertinelli have a son, Wolfgang Van Halen, who is a married man. He walked the MusiCares Person of the Year gala with his new wife on February 2, 2024. The event was held in honor of Jon Bon Jovi.

Wolfgang looked dapper in a black blazer over his black shirt, trousers, and sunglasses. Meanwhile, Andraia donned a black dress with a thigh-high ruffled slit and shoulder cut-outs. Several photos of them made rounds online, including one where they shared a sweet kiss.

The couple, still over the moon about their marriage, had nothing but positive things to say about married life. "It's been nice to actually have you home," Andraia said.

Her husband added, "I mean, I think if you marry the right person, it shouldn't be any different. Right?" While referring to their status as husband and wife, he said, "It's been awesome. I love it."

The pair wed on October 15, 2023. Unfortunately, Wolfgang's father, Eddie, was no longer around to see his son tie the knot. Eddie passed away in October 2020 after a long battle with cancer.

However, Valerie was in attendance and looked stunning in a maroon power suit. She played a significant role during the ceremony, walking the groom down the aisle before their closest family and friends.

Although it was sad that Eddie wasn't there, Valerie said he would have been so happy and proud to see the man his son had become. He would have also been thrilled for the couple, especially as his son found the love of his life. In the interview, Valerie described Andraia as "someone who really understands Wolfie, who he is and who he wants to be and supports him wholeheartedly."

Wolfgang Van Halen stars in the SiriusXM show "Top of the Pack," where his mom previously appeared. Valerie shared a photo teasing her guest appearance, attracting her Instagram followers to notice the resemblance between her son and both parents.

The son of iconic actress Valerie Bertinelli and late legendary musician Eddie Van Halen tied the knot this past weekend. Wolfgang Van Halen exchanged vows with his longtime partner, Andraia Allsop, in Los Angeles on October 15.

The newlyweds married in an intimate ceremony at their home with only 90 guests. Gorgeous stained glass windows were put on display as part of the decorations.

Interestingly enough, according to a pop culture outlet, these windows were the same ones iconic singer Lady Gaga had used as a backdrop for one of her performances. In addition to these unique windows, other decor included pretty mauve and dusty rose-colored floral arrangements.

As far as the dress code was concerned, the groom looked dapper in a custom-made three-piece black suit, while his stunning bride adorned a classy long-sleeved white gown with lace and beading embellishments designed by Eva Lendel.

Perhaps one of the special day's most beautiful and endearing moments was when the rockstar walked down the aisle with his mom to a song his late father wrote for him.

Wolfgang thought it would be a great way to ensure Eddie was included. Honoring his late dad and other family members both he and Allsop have lost was paramount for the couple, who even honored the loved ones in their vows. They even left an empty chair for the late artist, and the bride handcrafted memory charms with pictures of Wolfgang and his father.

Wolfgang's wife explained that the event occurred in the couple's living room because they wanted privacy and to draw a direct focus on the two sharing their special moment. Following the vow exchange, a cocktail hour was held inside before the reception, decked out with lights and flowers, in the backyard.

Some cuisines included for the festivities were pesto chicken, braised short ribs, a tortellini soup Wolfgang grew up eating as a child, and a vegan option of cauliflower steak. Tiramisu and a celebration wedding cake were had for dessert.

Upon seeing Wolfgang and his bride, some people complimented them, calling them a beautiful couple. They also marveled at the resemblance between Valerie and Andraia:

"His bride looks like a young version of his mother."

While some focused on the resemblance between the bride and Valerie, others criticized the newlyweds. Some people nastily assumed that Andraia only married Wolfgang for his money, even though the couple had been together for eight years.

Others expressed concern about Wolfgang's weight. Although this cohort of people congratulated the couple for the most part, one social media user went so far as to say:

"I...by no means want to sound judgemental or cruel but...I think unless he has a medical condition that causes him to carry extra weight he really should try to get healthier before he gets sick."

Many people came to Wolfgang's defense after seeing some of the backlash he received. They chastised the people who criticized him and went on about how wrong it was for them to be judgemental and rude.

Despite the negative things that some had to say, Wolfgang's doting mama bear couldn't be prouder of her son and adores her daughter-in-law. Of her son and daughter-in-law's beautiful union, she divulged:

"It brings me such a nice sense of peace knowing Wolfie and Andraia have each other for the rest of their lives. They really 'get' one another..."

The ecstatic mother-in-law even lent Andraia a unique necklace for the special day. The piece of jewelry was one that her late ex-husband gave her. Valerie also mentioned how proud Eddie would be of his son and wife, who said they had already felt like they were married before they tied the knot.
