Contrary to claims suggesting that their trip to the Invictus Games serves as a "make or break" moment, the couple has expressed their resilience and commitment to their causes, dismissing the notion that any singular event could determine the course of their familial relationships.

In response to ongoing narratives, a spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex emphasized, "We've heard time and time again that certain opportunities are make or break for the couple. They're still here. They're still working and pursuing what they believe in, despite constantly being challenged and criticized. This couple will not be broken."

Adding a layer to the narrative, Prince Harry's recent visit to his father, King Charles, following the latter's cancer diagnosis, was seen by many as a significant step towards reconciliation. Despite the shortness of their meeting, it marked a moment of personal connection amidst public and media scrutiny over the royal family dynamics.

During their time in Canada, Harry and Meghan's engagement with the Invictus Games athletes further highlighted their dedication to the cause close to their hearts. Prince Harry, who founded the Games to support wounded, injured, or sick armed services personnel and their associated veterans, spent meaningful time with participants, showing a genuine interest in their recovery journeys.
Athletes like Mike Bourgeois, a Canadian archery team member, shared insights into Harry's deep interest in their rehabilitation, underscoring the Duke's commitment to understanding and supporting these heroes on their path to recovery.

Mike, who embraced archery following a spinal cord injury and a consequential heart attack at 48, found the Invictus Games not just a platform for competition but a beacon of hope and rehabilitation. His interaction with Prince Harry wasn't just an exchange between a royal and a veteran; it was a moment of mutual recognition of the challenges faced by servicemen and women, both visible and invisible.

The couple's arrival in Vancouver, Canada, aboard a private jet to promote the 2025 Invictus Games also drew attention. Their choice of transportation, despite previous environmental advocacy, gained fans' attention as it seemed to contrast their environmental views. However, their active participation in the Games' promotional events reflects their ongoing commitment to their philanthropic endeavors and the Invictus Games community.
As previously reported on February 14:
Despite their vocal advocacy for climate change and environmental preservation, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's choice of transportation from California to Vancouver seemingly contradicted their public stance on the issue.
The flight, originating from Santa Barbara, took two hours before landing in Vancouver, where the aircraft stayed for 39 minutes before leaving for Victoria.

The couple's decision to fly private has sparked a wave of criticism online, particularly given their history of lecturing the public on the importance of combating climate change. Some Facebook users took their sentiments to the comments section of a news outlet reporting on the couple.
"Not environmentalists at all," one comment read. "No more about this pair. A disgrace," another added. "How many climate change speeches has he made?" echoed another.

Critics from Twitter also pointed out the inconsistency in their actions, with one user highlighting, "Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's private jet flight contradicts their climate advocacy, emitting 4 tonnes of CO2."
Another tweet read, "The eco-warriors Harry and Meghan, who have no State functions or ambassadorial duties to carry out like the Royal Family, arrive at one of the world's most expensive ski resorts in a private jet to advocate philanthropy and charity."

Amidst the environmental controversy, some social media users shifted the focus to Harry and Meghan's role as parents, questioning the whereabouts of their children during the trip. "I thought they were 'parents'... rarely see them with their 'kids,'" one Facebook user noted."I feel sorry for their children," another agreed.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's visit to Canada came following the backlash they faced over the launch of their new website, where they continued to use their official royal titles.

The purpose of their three-day visit was to attend the Invictus Games' "One Year to Go" event, marking a significant date in the calendar for Harry, who founded the Invictus Games. The event is a cornerstone of their itinerary, highlighting their ongoing commitment to supporting veterans and their families through the power of sports.
Despite the controversies surrounding their arrival and environmental stance, Harry and Meghan's visit to Canada for the Invictus Games event underscores their dedication to their philanthropic efforts and the causes close to their hearts.
As previously reported on February 9:
The Duke of Sussex recently made a surprising appearance in Sin City at an NFL award ceremony. He took the stage to present Cameron Heyward with the 2023 Walter Payton NFL Man of the Year Award.
Adorned in a classy suit, Prince Harry began his presentation by humorously noting how the U.S. transformed the English sport of rugby into football. He then spoke about the NFL's impact on many people worldwide and did not mention King Charles III's cancer diagnosis during his speech.
When the public saw Prince Harry at the prestigious ceremony, many had mixed reactions. Some thought the Prince attending an event so soon after visiting his dad amid his health ailment was inappropriate.
In this regard, one person said, "Oh that's why he left Britain so fast, he had more important things to do than to stay with his sick father. He is a disgrace to the RF and Britain!" Similarly, another commented, "So selfish." "What an embarrassment 🤦🏽♀️😂," added another social media user.
However, there were other people who complimented him. One fan wrote, "I love him [...] He's an honest man who takes up for his family. Even though they're all having problems [it] doesn't mean he doesn't love them." Another praised, "The people's Prince!"
Someone else gushed, "This is so amazing. I'm so happy Prince Harry is so loved in the U.S. and has found a home." Another fan swooned, "Congrats to all, and [it's] amazing that Prince Harry, the living legend, presented this award!"

When Prince Harry recently went to London to see King Charles III after his cancer diagnosis was revealed, he stayed in a lavish hotel. The King of England's former butler, Grant Harrold, said that Prince Harry did so as a way to show his family that he could financially support himself without their help.
A media outlet revealed that Grant and King Charles III had a working relationship spanning seven years. At the time, the King of England was still the Prince of Wales.

As reported by Grant, Prince Harry opted for the hotel because he wanted to prove that he was "grown up enough to fund himself." The King's former butler then went on to state, "It's strange he's not staying at any royal residences because obviously, when they were growing up, they had rooms at Clarence House and at Highgrove."

Grant expanded on his reasoning by asserting his opinion that Prince Harry's choice did not make sense security-wise. Since stepping down from his royal role, news sources have stipulated that the Duke of Sussex has been traveling with his own security team.

On this and the status of Prince Harry's familial relationships, Grant explained, "Obviously, it's not the best sign if he's staying at a hotel, because you'd have thought he'd possibly stay with his brother [Prince William] and sister-in-law [Kate Middleton] potentially, or at one of his father's homes."
He went on to note, "If there is an ongoing fallout between him and his brother, it's possible that he may not have been given the offer to stay."

Regarding Prince Harry's visit, a media outlet reported that King Charles III was allegedly unpleased as his travel plans were delayed in waiting for his son's arrival. Apparently, the King had plans to travel to Norfolk for tranquility.
Although many speculations have surfaced concerning why Prince Harry's visit with the King was so brief, a British expert named Richard Fitzwilliams set the record straight. He mentioned that because King Charles III has started treatment, he may have just been tired, prompting the brevity of the meeting.
As previously reported on February 8:
The Duchess of Sussex has been spotted out and about for the first time since her husband caught a flight to London to visit King Charles III amid his cancer diagnosis. Pictures showed Meghan Markle flashing a smile as she drove around Montecito.
From what was seen, she opted for a comfy, casual look, which included sunglasses and a baseball cap. She also held a coffee mug in one of her hands.
Many people had a lot of strong opinions concerning Meghan's recent outing. One person asked and asserted, "Why does she do this when Harry is away?" Another expressed, "So predictable. Beyond pathetic."
Someone else remarked, "Smiling like a Cheshire Cat to hide the fact KC had barely 30 mins for Harry. If you believe some reports, it was more like 12 mins [...] that's pretty embarrassing. Actions have consequences!"
A social media user pondered, "She's happy Charles is ill?" Another asserted, "How embarrassing M, now we know why Harry went! PR stunt!" Someone else stated, "Exclusive woman smiles [knowing] her husband is safely coming back to her loving arms after being in a country where the media, reporters and self-appointed experts are being violent and vicious in speech and thoughts."

Other less negative comments focused on Prince Harry visiting his dad and someone also posted a comment in defense of Meghan. One person rhetorically questioned, "You want her to start mourning when the King is still alive? Na [...]!" Another person highlighted, "Harry did the right thing [seeing] his father after the cancer diagnosis. He is a great son."

Yesterday, a news outlet reported that Prince Harry was already en route back home from London. The Duke of Sussex had spent 24 hours in his homeland. He landed in London after 2 p.m. this past Tuesday, then went to see his father—as reported by a news source—for 45 minutes.
As previously reported on February 7:
While there has been tension between Prince Harry and his family since he moved to the US and left his post as a working senior royal, he still rushed home to be with his father amidst the King's cancer diagnosis. Meanwhile, his wife stayed in California with their kids.

According to the King's former butler, Meghan Markle's choice resulted from her thinking that being by the King's side was "something [Prince Harry] has to do alone."

His Majesty's former aide, Grant Harrold, said, "Meghan made the decision that it was best to stay home with the children, and maybe she feels that this is something Harry has got to do alone." He believes that the former actress played a role in encouraging Harry to go to London.

Meghan may still visit her father-in-law in the near future, royal experts believe. However, at the moment, she will be focusing on caring for her two children in California.
"I'm sure at some point they will bring the grandchildren over; that might be part of what's being discussed — an opportunity for them to come over as a family," Harrold added.

Meghan has said positive things about Harry's dad in the past, including the kindness he showed during their wedding. In her Netflix documentary, "Harry & Meghan," she revealed that King Charles' role in walking her down the aisle on her special day was very important, given her biological father's decision not to attend due to a paparazzi scandal and health issues.
The King also helped choose the song Meghan walked down the aisle to. Sadly, in years after, Meghan's relationship with the royal family did not flourish.

King Charles III's illness is undoubtedly a tragedy for the royal family. However, it may also be the very reason their family reunites again, following Harry's decision to step back from senior royal duties and move to a different country.
Royal expert Gareth Russell weighed in on the situation, noting that a grave illness such as Cancer is never taken lightly by the diagnosed patient's family members. Likely, ill feelings and differences in character are put aside.
