After Buckingham Palace announced that King Charles had been diagnosed with an undisclosed form of cancer, the public has been worrying about the monarch's health. Not so long ago, his wife, Queen Camilla, took a step back from her responsibilities to spend time with her husband, which the public found quite worrying and suspicious.

Today, users are speculating about King Charles's death.

"KING CHARLES IS DEAD???" reacted one user on X after the picture was published. "Those rumors about King Charles III can't be true, right?" another doubted.

This uncertainty is not unwarranted, since the announcement of King Charles's death came from an unverified source that shared an online document resembling an official statement from Buckingham Palace.

"The King passed away unexpectedly yesterday afternoon," it said on the document. Above the statement in all caps, it said, "The following announcement is made by royal communications," with a date of Monday, 18th of March in the corner.

The rumors are currently being debunked by the BBC journalist, who posted: "No, King Charles did not die unexpectedly, Buckingham Palace did not share this news. It is now all over Russian news, but it is a fake report," he said on X.
