'Is That Her?': Shania Twain's Fans Are Shocked after Noticing Her 'New' Teeth

Fans of music star Shania Twain have been left shocked after noticing her "new" teeth. The singer recently took to Instagram to post a selfie and some social media users expressed their inability to recognize her.

Yesterday, Shania Twain shared a photo on her Instagram feed in which she showed off her pink hair and pearly whites. Eagle-eyed social media users were quick to make observations and point out how different the artist looks, especially because of her teeth.

"Is that her?! I literally would have never known. Ten years ago she was aging BEAUTIFULLY. And still had her style. This new version is just not it and I wish she would listen to us! Age gracefully!" wrote someone. Similarly, another person added, "Been a fan for years, had no idea who this was."

Referencing the singer's smile, an Instagrammer criticized, "The new mouth and teeth ruin her. Along with the drag show she's putting on." Echoing the sentiment of the masses, someone else stated, "What have you [done] to your teeth? You look so different 😩."

Twain's picture that caused a commotion online was taken during a cover shoot she did for Haute Living. "I love this outtake from the @hauteliving cover shoot because you can FEEL how much fun I was having 💅 Expect me to be coloring my hair, doing what I dare in Vegas, sorry not sorry!!" captioned the "That Don’t Impress Me Much" songstress.

As for why she opted for pink locks, Twain explained, "It's funny — the reason that I even experimented with [the pink] is because I'm going grey. And now I'm thinking that when I'm entirely grey, maybe I should just dye my hair at that point and rock the pink."

She went on to divulge that pink, specifically, is a color that makes her "feel youthful." Far from being fussed about public opinion concerning her appearance, choosing to go pink is about expressing her confidence and courage to go for what she wants as she gets older.

"I'm getting less and less inhibited as I age. I like to do goofy things. Outside of experimenting with hair color, I would say that I enjoy being fearless — nothing really scares me. I'm not worried about wearing a hair color and not pulling it off," disclosed Twain.

For Twain, life is all about doing what you want without worrying about the "backlash" one may receive from doing so. When it comes to how she lives her life, she once said that she prefers to live "in a more forward-thinking way."

She consciously makes an effort not to dwell or be "bogged down" by negativity and the scrutiny of others. "It's like, '[...], I don't have room for this and I don't have time for it. I've got to move on.' [...] You've got to move on and move through your fears," expressed Twain last year.

This carefree motto is so important to the musician that it was even the inspiration behind her album and song "Queen of Me."

Regardless of what naysayers have to say about her look, Twain intends to continue doing what she wants to do. On this, she elaborated, "I take responsibility for my decisions and once I make them, I've made them because I'm happy with them. So, it doesn't matter to me."

From the looks of it, the "Queen of Me" artist is happy with the life decisions she's made, which includes her hair experimentation as seen in the recent picture she posted. Though there is speculation that her teeth may be new, her pink hair certainly isn't.

The singer-songwriter captioned the photo with a nod to her lyrics: "Color my hair, do what I dare," referencing her hit song "Man! I Feel Like a Woman."
