Summing up the profoundly personal and festive affair, Joan commented on her daughter-in-law's post, writing, "It was a magical three days❤️." In one unforgettable moment, Joan, the epitome of poise and grace, appeared in a pale blue lace dress, complete with a matching cape and a wide-brimmed hat, as she proudly escorted her son down a cobblestone path.
Fans Flood Social Media with Love
The online reaction was immediate and overflowing. Fans and guests alike filled the comments section with gushing praise and heartfelt congratulations. "Breathtaking bride. Congratulations to you and Sacha! ❤️," one admirer wrote.

But the family bond didn't blossom overnight. Nearly a year before the wedding, on July 22, 2024, Alexander shared a family photo on Instagram that hinted at the closeness and love on display this weekend.
Captioned, "My three leading ladies," the touching image showed Sheela, their daughter, and Joan — together in a sun-drenched, multigenerational picture. In the snapshot, Sheela wore a light embroidered dress, their daughter appeared in a sweet pink gingham outfit, and Joan looked effortlessly elegant in a white blouse with black embroidery and a chic white hat.
Joan's Journey from Stardom to Motherhood
The scene of unity at the wedding echoes the actress's own reflections on motherhood throughout the decades. Speaking candidly to The Times, she once said:
"I was already pregnant when I married Tony Newley. I was 29, I'd been an actress for ten years and I was getting a bit bored and broody. I wanted a little girl and I got my Tara Cynara — she was the centre of my world. Sacha came along when Tara was 13 months old, so I had two under two. I was a full-on, hands-on mother until they went to nursery."

Yet not everything was picture-perfect. Joan's daughter, Tara Arkle, has publicly spoken about the tough years that followed, sharing, "My brother and I had a series of nannies as Mum slogged away at her career while going through relationships with men who didn't support her. There were some very tough years and I was just disappointed she wasn't with us more [sic]."
Still, Tara made sure to highlight her mother's strength, "When you get down to it, she's not very different to [sic] most mums. She just happens to be Joan Collins, a total legend."
