Former NFL Star Kevin Faulk's Daughter Dies Unexpectedly – Years After Losing Her Sister & Infant Brother
Kevin Faulk's family is no stranger to loss, but that does not lessen the pain as they face another tragedy following the death of his daughter.
Tanasha Faulk, the daughter of former New England Patriots running back Kevin Faulk, has died. Her family is devastated by the heartbreaking news, which comes years after Kevin previously lost both a daughter and an infant son.
A Final Goodbye in Los Angeles
Tanasha passed away on Saturday, December 6, 2025, at Ochsner Lafayette General Medical Center at age 30. Information about her cause of death or how long she had been hospitalized has not been shared. However, no foul play is suspected at this time.
Her funeral took place a week later, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 13, 2025, at a Mass of Christian Burial at Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church in Los Angeles.
Tanasha is survived by her daughters — Ava Shelvin, Jornell Zenon, and Jaida Louis — as well as her companion of five years, Isaac Louis. She also left behind her parents, Kevin Troy and Latisha Clark Faulk; her sister, Tionne Lewis; her brother, Tavion Faulk; and several extended family members.
A Sister's Death Shook the LSU Community
Kevin had previously endured the loss of an infant son, Kevin Faulk Jr., and daughter, Kevione Faulk, making their latest bereavement especially difficult.
Louisiana State University (LSU) announced in 2021 that Kevione had passed away. The 19-year-old worked as a student staff member with LSU Football, a program intertwined with her family's legacy.

Her father was the school's all-time rushing leader and earned All-SEC honors in three of his four college seasons.
LSU acknowledged the loss in a statement that read, "We are heartbroken with the passing of Kevione Faulk, and our thoughts and prayers are with the Faulk family. She was a part of the LSU family, and we mourn the loss of a daughter, a sister, a friend, a classmate, and a colleague."

The school also urged the community to keep the Faulks in their prayers and to give them the privacy they need during this time. The university did not release the cause of death for Kevione.
LSU Football head coach Ed Orgeron also honored her life publicly, writing on X, "Our thoughts and prayers are with Coach Faulk and his family as we mourn the loss of his daughter Kevione. Her smile and personality will be sorely missed in our building. May she Rest In Peace."

A Storied Football Legacy and Fatherhood
Kevin enjoyed a long and decorated career before he retired. He spent all 13 of his NFL seasons with the New England Patriots, winning three Super Bowls between 1999 and 2011. After retiring, he returned to his alma mater in 2018 as LSU's director of player development and was promoted to running backs coach the following year.
But even with all those accomplishments, fatherhood meant the most to him. "I love being a father. There are so many words you can use to describe what it means. It's entertaining, special, surprising. You just never know what can happen with the kids in the course of a day, a week, a month. How they can change," he once said.

Kevin continued, “As a parent, you observe and watch your kids, and you try to understand them. It’s such a wonderful thing to experience.”
Being present for his children wasn't always easy. Football kept him on the road and on the field. His son Kevin also followed in his footsteps by taking up the sport. As much as he wanted to be there for every game, their schedules rarely aligned.

Most of his son's matchups were played on the same days as his own during the season. Although he managed to catch a few in person, those moments were limited.
His wife, Latisha, helped bridge the gap — she recorded the games for him and walked him through everything that happened afterward. She ensured he stayed connected even when distance got in the way.

Kevin also said in the past that it was important for his kids to understand that while football was his career, at home he was simply their father.
"I'm not the guy everybody talks about outside of home. Because, outside of home, I'm Kevin Faulk. At home, I'm Daddy. I'm not playing football here," he noted.

Faith, Family, and an Unshakable Bond
Kevin also shared that he tried to pass down one guiding principle to his children, which was to stay true to themselves and treat others with respect. He believed that those two values would carry them through most challenges in life.
The former athlete and Latisha also have a close bond. In 2010, they renewed their wedding vows in an intimate ceremony in Louisiana. By then, the couple had been married for 10 years and together for two decades.

A few of his teammates attended the celebration, along with longtime strength coach Mike Woicik, making the moment even more meaningful.
Now, years later, his family has been brought even closer as they grieve another devastating loss, while friends and fans continue to send heartfelt condolences their way.
