Kim Kardashian Explains Why She Deleted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's Photos from Kris Jenner's Party – Video
It was supposed to be a night of glitz, glamour, and Kardashian-caliber star power — but what unfolded was a royal-sized scandal that left fans fuming, friendships questioned, and reputations rattled.
Kim Kardashian has finally broken her silence on the mysterious disappearance of those infamous photos featuring Meghan Markle and Prince Harry at Kris Jenner's 70th birthday bash — but her explanation has only intensified scrutiny on the royal couple.

Caught at the Wrong Party?
Appearing on the "Khloe in Wonderland" podcast alongside her sister Khloé Kardashian, Kim explained that Meghan and family matriarch Kris have been friends "for some years" and share a "sweet relationship." So when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex showed up at the party, it didn't seem strange for them to end up in a few photos.
"We were told that it was totally cool to post," Kim recalled. "And then after it was posted, I think they realized it was Remembrance Day, and they didn't want to be seen at a party, even though it's already up."

Remembrance Day — a solemn holiday honoring fallen military members — suddenly clashed with images of royals dancing and celebrating under chandeliers.
Kim went on to explain that while the Sussexes being seen at the Baby2Baby Gala earlier that same evening may have been "fine," photos of them partying felt inappropriate once the significance of the day sank in.
"So we took them down to respect Remembrance Day," she said.

Still, she couldn't resist poking fun at the absurdity of the situation.
"You just got to laugh at, like, the situation sometimes," she told Khloé. "And just, like, lighten it up and be — if everyone's taking it the wrong way, like, lean in."

Then came the cheeky punchline — Kardashian-style.
"I was like, 'We should do a full SKIMS campaign,'" she teased. "Take the photo — even just us, like, I'll shoot you at Mom, you know, post it and then delete it, like, 30 minutes later. And then say, 'Oh, sorry, I didn't have permission to post those photos for the campaign.'"

'This Was Supposed to Make Them Look Better?'
But if Kim thought a little humor would cool things down, she was wrong. Though the situation has been laid bare, unimpressed royal watchers are doubling down.
"Oh so they wanted to HIDE the fact that they were being disrespectful by being at a party on Remembrace Day? Got it. Must be tiring straddling that fence these two are on. 🙄🫤," one furious commenter wrote.
Another declared, "Kim just roasted them btw 😂 basically told us they were told to take the pics down for PR reasons."

More critics piled on, as one remarked, "They got caught having fun on a day of grief for the people they are Dukes and Duchesses of… and wanted to cover it up… ok.”
"This supposed to make them look good? 🫠 Nope. It actually make things worse for H&M [sic]," another said.

"Wow Kim just made them look worse. Why not just say, we are all still cool and just wanted to respect their request. She didn't need to spill the entire tea 😂😂😂," a third wrote.
One fan summed it up best, adding, "Kim subtly confirming what everyone has always suspected about Meghan is top tier."
A-Listers, Awkward Moments, and Royal Fallout
The lavish event in question took place at none other than Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez's £129 million Beverly Hills mansion, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex rubbed elbows with a jaw-dropping list of A-listers: Jay-Z, Beyoncé, Paris Hilton, Bill Gates, Tyler Perry, Mark Zuckerberg, and of course, Kim Kardashian.
Photos from the soirée were initially shared in celebratory carousels on Kim and Kris's Instagram pages — including one showing Meghan and Harry mingling with the crowd.
But almost as quickly as they appeared, the images were deleted.
According to Page Six, multiple sources confirmed that Meghan and Harry's reps requested the images be taken down, fearing the optics of dancing and celebrating on Remembrance Day could further alienate the royals from the British public.
One insider didn't hold back, saying, "It truly shows that Harry is so far removed from the rest of the family. These people may be stars in America, but the pure ostentatiousness is at odds with what Prince William is trying to do with the monarchy."

'Getting Annoyed': Kardashian Camp vs. Sussexes
While Kim tried to laugh off the situation, the reported behind-the-scenes tension tells a different story.
Another source claimed the Kardashian-Jenner family was "getting annoyed" with the Sussexes for "overshadowing what was supposed to be a celebration of Kris."
The fallout reportedly became so intense that it prompted the resignation of Meredith Maines, Harry and Meghan's 11th publicist, who allegedly had enough of the endless clean-ups.
Her departure from Archewell Philanthropies was said to be the "final straw" after the Instagram drama spiraled out of control.
Now, with Kim's remarks dragging the Duke and Duchess back into the spotlight, royal watchers are convinced the couple's efforts to reshape their image in the U.S. are unraveling faster than ever.
