Ice-T's wife Coco Austin faces backlash after her recent video with 2-year-old daughter

The 38-year-old actress garnered plenty of criticism because of her recent post on social media.

On March 7, 2018, Coco Austin, Ice-T’s wife, shared a video of herself holding her 2-year-old daughter, Chanel, in her arms while swimming with sharks on Instagram, as reported by Inquistr.

The video was taken during their family vacation to the Bahamas. Many people claimed that Austin was being 'irresponsible' by heading into the water with her daughter.

The Southwest Babes actress shared the video with her more than 3 million followers.

'This seriously was crazy having all these sharks in the water at once, but I have to say, half the battle was holding Chanel while swimming…lol,' she captioned the post.

Many of her followers were quick to make their feelings known in the comments section.

Instagram user, @blackhulk9999, wrote: 'Listen a shark is a shark, a meat eater, so [people] shouldn’t ever take the chance and definitely not holding a baby it’s irresponsible.'

Instagram user, @realestate_jess, added that it's irresponsible for the actress to swim in the ocean without a life vest especially that she's holding her daughter.

But not all of the comments were negative as some of her fans rushed to her defense.

Instagram user, @momma_to_2minimes, responded to social media critics, saying that Austin's child is her business.

Another added that she was actually being a good mother to her daughter because she showed her how to be brave.

Before Austin posted the controversial clip, she previously shared many photos of herself and her daughter in the water.

The actress called the experience one of the highlights of their trip. She also noted that the sharks were surprisingly tame, according to Inquistr.

Austin was married to Ice-T in January 2002. The couple renewed their vows in Hollywood on June 4, 2011. In November 2015, they announced that their daughter, Chanel, had been born.
