Toddler has died after being found in an allegedly stolen car in a river
A little girl was rushed to a hospital after the tragic incident.
On March 19, 2018, Kim Rowlands, 25, posted on Facebook that her car disappeared with her daughter, Kiara Moore, inside, as reported by Mirror.
'Can everyone look out for the car, It's been stolen with my 3-year-old daughter in it. Please share!' she wrote.
Nicola Rowlands, her sister, also took to her personal Facebook account and made her own appeal. She wrote that her sister's car was stolen from Carmarthenshire with her niece inside.
Police posted on their social media account that they received a call about the missing car at around 3.30pm. The car was last seen outside the Scout Hall in Cardigan. During a search, the car had been found in the River Teifi with little Kiara inside.
Kiara was taken to the hospital but the doctors were unable to save her life. No arrests have been made in connection with the incident, Mirror reported.
Jet Moore, Kiara's father, thanked all the people who had helped in the search for his daughter.
'Thank you all for your help this evening. A mega thank you the officers who jumped in the river and the rest of the emergency services for all they did,' he wrote on Facebook.
He added that his daughter, who would have celebrated her third birthday on March 27, 2018, had an amazing but short life.
Kiara's death in the hospital was confirmed by the police, saying that she was pronounced dead at the UHW, Cardiff, after she was recovered from a car in the River Teifi.
According to them, the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident is now being investigated.
They were also appealing for witnesses who possibly noticed the vehicle enter the river between 3:30 pm and 4:50 pm.
Kiara's family is being supported by specialist officers, police continued.
