'Today Show' just announced a huge change in its format: it will be very different
Not everyone had a positive feedback for the change made by their favorite talk show.
As reported in an article published by Entertainment Daily, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon will be 8undergoing a format change on Monday, April 9, by introducing its co-host, rapper Cardi B.
The show has never had a co-host in its lifespan of 64 years. Cardi B will be the first person to co-host the show alongside the title host, Jimmy Fallon.
NBC announced that Cardi B will be appearing on the show on April 9 to promote her new album, Invasion of Privacy, which releases on April 6.
She will also stay to perform one of her tracks and later join Fallon to interview his guests throughout the night.
The show shared the news with its fans and followers via their official social media account. They expressed their excitement to have the Bronx native artist on their show as the co-host.
However, the news instantly received polarizing comments on the update. While many fans appreciated the innovative collaboration, there were others that did not believe that the gig would work.
One user, KathyB, expressed her surprise over the decision and simply declared that she will not be watching the episode at all. Another user with a username Grunge_Girl7 replied that it was a terrible move.
Some fans were delighted with the news and expressed their excitement for the episode. A fan, Emmrys, believed that the show would be hilarious with the inclusion of Cardi B.

Cardi B would be making her third appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. The Grammy-nominated rapper first appeared on the show in September 2017 and performed her track No Limit.
