On April 4, 2018, the award-winning country singer shared a black-and-white photo of herself in the studio, as reported by Pop Culture.

This is the first time the 35-year-old star gave her fans a peek at her face after having it stitched up. The photo, however, only shows half of her face.

Underwood got injured in an accident at her Nashville home in the fall. He needed 40 to 50 stitches after the unfortunate incident.

Aside from her injury to the face, the American Idol winner also broke her wrist.

Her millions of fans had been waiting for her to share a photo of her full face for months. After the accident, Underwood had warned her fans that they may find her looking a little different because of the injury.

'It's crazy how a freak random accident can change your life,' she said in a fan club letter in January 2018.

'In addition to breaking my wrist, I somehow managed to injure my face as well. I'll spare you the gruesome details, but when I came out of surgery the night of my fall, the doctor told (my husband) that he had put between 40 and 50 stitches in,' she added.

Because Underwood only posted photos partly covering her face since the accident, fans have speculated that she might have suffered lasting damage.

In December 2017, a photo of Underwood emerged, thanks to Bravo personality, Adrienne Gang. The two had worked out at the same location.

The photo, however, only shows the left side of Underwood's face.

The country crooner is scheduled to perform at CMA Fest in Nashville in June 2018. It may be the first time the star will show her full face to her fans.
