According to People, Gwen Stefani will soon be launching her Vegas residency show and she's really excited about it.
The singer confirmed it in an announcement on Tuesday, April 10, 2018. She will be launching her Gwen Stefani Just a Girl residency at the Zappos Theater in Planet Hollywood.
She's already signed up for 25 shows and is set to start on June 27, 2018. The No Doubt vocalist revealed her excitement on the matter.
She said that is was an "incredible honor" to be able to do a show in Vegas, claiming that, growing up in Anaheim, California, she could never have imagined having her own Vegas residency.
“I have been so fortunate to tour throughout my career, but to create a show for Vegas is something I’ve never experienced and I can’t wait," the 48-year-old blonde said.
Stefani will now be the headlining music act of the Vegas hotel after Britney Spears finished her Britney: Piece of Me residency on New Year’s Day after four long years.
It is important to notice that $1 of every ticket purchased to Stefani’s residency shows will be donated to Cure 4 the Kids Foundation.
This Las Vegas-based nonprofit organization provides medical treatment to children who face a number of life-threatening conditions.
On the other hand, Jennifer Lopez launched her All I Have residency at Planet Hollywood in January 2016 and is scheduled to conclude the show in September 2018.
This inspired Stefani, as she posted a backstage photo of JLo posing with her after one of the latina sensation residency shows. Stefani has also attended the Backstreet Boys‘ residency in Sin City.
Stefani isn’t the only one new to the Vegas residencies, as Lady Gaga announced her own at the Monte Carlo Hotel & Casino’s Park Theater in December 2017.
