Kris Jenner explains the meaning behind Khloé's newborn's unexpected name

Khloé Kardashian’s mother, Kris Jenner, has explained the name chosen for her granddaughter. The name True has a bit of family history.

Jenner took to social media on April 16, 2018, to explain where the name came from. ET shared that the mother-and-daughter duo was spending a lot of time together since the child’s birth.

Khloé Kardashian's daughter doesn’t have a name starting with a ‘K.’ But the child’s name has a bigger family significance and history.

On Monday, Kardashian revealed that she and Tristan Thompson had decided to name their baby girl True. Jenner took to Instagram to explain the unique name saying it was her grandfather and father’s name.

The post was accompanied by a picture of many pink balloons. She also tagged the 5-day-old True's official Instagram account, which already has 51,000 followers.

Jenner’s parents are Mary Jo Shannon and Robert Houghton. Her parents divorced when she was seven years old, and Shannon later married Harry Shannon.

The two stayed together for 40 years until he died in a car crash in 2003. In an episode of Keeping up With the Kardashians, Shannon spoke about Harry's relationship with Jenner.

There she shared that Jenner's biological father ‘Bob’ and Harry had known each other, but weren't close. Shannon revealed that Harry would’ve been proud of Jenner and that her stepfather had adored her.

A source had recently shared that Jenner has stayed by her daughter’s side nonstop since she gave birth. Kardashian gave birth amid reports that Thompson had allegedly cheated on her multiple times while she was pregnant.

The insider shared that Kardashian needed her mother even more now.

"Everyone has always seen Khloe as the strongest sister, but in light of the new baby and the timing of Tristan's cheating scandal, having her mom by her side has been so essential in keeping her spirits high,” the source added. The two have been spending time bonding with the new baby.

Jenner is also teaching Kardashian the ropes when it comes to breastfeeding.
