Eva Mendes, 44, shows off midriff during a walk with her two brightly-dressed daughters

Eva Mendes was spotted in LA with her two brightly-dressed daughters with partner Ryan Gosling at a playdate. The 44-year-old designer - who doesn't employ babysitters or nannies - carried her little girl Amada Lee, who is almost two as three-year-old Esmeralda Amada stood by the family car with a brown bag. Momma was in a cropped top that slightly showed her midriff.

Last month, Mendes told E! that she didn’t restrict her daughter from wearing whatever they wanted.

'They have the right [if] they want to wear jammies all day or if they want to go in a costume to the market, I let them do that stuff. I let them win that battle. That's the easy one. I'm trying to get them to eat broccoli. That's the one I want to win. They can wear whatever they want.'

For the outing, the actress had her hair in a scarf, an item she revealed to be her most treasured. She told Pop Sugar last month; 'Scarves are my most treasured item. I just put them into a head wrap and they just save me when I don't have time to do my hair but still want to feel stylish...When you have kids, you don't have time to get dressed in the morning. You just grab whatever is available and clean and keep it moving.'

Mendes has been off acting since appearing in 37-year-old Gosling's dismally-reviewed 2014 directorial debut Lost River. She has since spent more time playing mom to her kids and releasing collections with New York & Company.
