'Dance Moms' star Abby Lee Miller's health condition reportedly worsens amid a cancer battle
Abby Lee Miller, who was in a prison for bankruptcy fraud, concealment of bankruptcy assets and false bankruptcy declarations, received more bad news.
In April 2018, just a couple of weeks after she was released from prison, Miller was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, which is a type of cancer. According to Entertainment Daily, she underwent spinal surgery to save her life.
Dr. Hooman Melamed, the orthopedic surgeon that is treating Miller at Cedar Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital, confessed that her blood pressure was bottoming out and it if they hadn’t operated, she was going to die.
Even though the surgery went out okay and Melamed is optimistic about Miller’s future, he pointed out she was not ‘out of the woods’ yet.
He added that there was a chance for her cancer to spread to any other part of her body as the root of the illness was coming from somewhere else.
‘We don’t know where the source is. Any tumor that spreads anywhere is automatically Stage 4, but we have not determined the stage yet.’

The same source reported that Miller was devastated and even felt ‘cursed’ by everything she has experienced recently. While she is strong, her personality changed as she has been sad and aggressive lately.
Miller is organizing all her documents and assets in case that something bad happens to her. Since she has no family, everything would go to her close inner circle.
It was also revealed that she didn’t think she would be strong enough to overcome this situation.
At the moment, she is serving her time in prison but was transferred from Victorville Federal Correctional Institution in California, to a halfway house, where she will complete her sentence. Miller is scheduled to be released on May 25, 2018.
