The father of two's pride was evident in the celebratory photo with his children.


As reported by E OnlineThe Walking Dead actor Jeffrey Dean Morgan took to social media to share a photo of himself celebrating his 52nd birthday with his two children, 8-year-old son Augustus and newborn daughter George Virginia.

He welcomed George Virginia with his second wife, Hilarie Burton on March 1.

In the photo, Morgan is seen holding on to his children as he posed for a birthday picture. Morgan sported a dense beard and wore cool shades and a black cap. 

George wore a pink and white onesie that had the words 'Daddy's girl' written on it. Augustus was captured enjoying his father's birthday cake in a black vest. 


The birthday cake was covered in delicious chocolate sauce and sprinkled with a few chocolate shavings. An unlit candle was placed on the cake while the edges were garnished with basil leaves.

Burton too took to social media to wish her husband a happy birthday. The former One Tree Hill star addressed her message to Morgan and said that he is a brilliant father, a hard worker and a devoted friend. 

Burton warned Morgan to brace himself as he would be showered with a lot of hugs and kisses from his family throughout the day.


Burton and Morgan have led relatively private lives as a Hollywood couple. They attended the 2017 Emmy Awards at the Microsoft Theatre in Los Angeles and delivered the news on the red carpet that they were expecting.

Morgan, who played a brief cameo in Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice as Bruce Wayne's father, Thomas Wayne, may don the role of Batman in the DC Cinematic Universe in one of the most anticipated storylines, Flashpoint.

According to Screen Rant, Morgan confessed that putting on the bat suit would be a thrill of a lifetime.
