Matt Roloff shares video revealing crisis on farm

The television star posted on Instagram that his farm was burning at the beginning of the week. According to Matt Roloff, the fire seems to have appeared out of nowhere.

In his Instagram video, he states that it was by luck that he happened to see it in time. Roloff posted about the strange event on April 23, 2018, according to Pop Culture.

The reality star posted a video on Instagram that showed smoke rising up from the ground at Roloff Farms. It appears as though there was a fire just outside of a barn on the sprawling Oregon property.

Roloff narrates the video while standing close to the smokey area. At the end of the clip, the star seems to notice an actual flame at the center of the smoke before the footage stops.

He posted another clip on his Instagram Story shortly afterward saying "the ground is, like, burning from under." Nothing more has been said about the incident since Monday.

The farm is about 110 acres and is situated in a town called Helvetia. The town is just 20 miles from the city of Portland.

Roloff and his ex-wife, Amy, bought 34 acres in 1990 when he was working at Sequent Systems in nearby Beaverton. The farm’s official website revealed that Amy had wanted a beautiful home in the city whereas Roloff was drawn to a more rural life.

“This is the weirdest, weirdest situation. I've never seen anything like this, it's like it's on fire — the ground is on fire, but I can't imagine how that would have happened, or what's going on."

In the early years, he built a Tom-Sawyer-like adventure land with a huge pirate ship, a three-story tree fort, and a Western Town. Later on, he added a soccer field, in-ground pool, and more play structures.

The farm has now become more like a theme park. Fans of his show, Little People, Big World, actually travel just to see it.

It also happens to be a highly sought-after venue for weddings and other big events. Despite this, things aren’t looking so good for the property.

Roloff hinted in a recent promo that he might be tired of it. He shared that they were talking a lot about it and trying to figure out if they should keep it or not.

An episode of the reality show featured Roloff and his ex-wife arguing over his new girlfriend, Caryn. In the video, he shared that things would always be awkward and that he wanted his own path away from the farm and his ex.
