These photos show that even the Royal Duchess of Cambridge does surprisingly trivial tasks

Kate Middleton likes to escape her palace confinement and go out as a regular person to remember her down to earth side. Many were shocked when she was seen grocery shopping by herself.

All Cute All The Time reported on the curious occasion when the 36-year-old Duchess surprised everybody by getting behind the wheel of a car and heading to a local grocery store to mix herself with the common people and have a taste of normal life.

The members of the British Royal Family are always associated with luxury, elegance, and power, and for many people out there it is hard to picture them as mere mortals like all of us. But it seems that even them get busy with ordinary tasks.

Since Middleton married the second in line of succession to the British throne, Prince William, 35, in 2011, there is a real possibility for her to become Queen of England. She is probably the last person anyone expects to run into in a grocery store.

We are more likely to assume that the day to day of a personality of this category involves only attending lavish parties and wear dresses by the best designers of the world made especially for them. But there is another side to some royals.

There is no doubt that the members of the royalty enjoy a standard of living that the rest of us wouldn’t even dream of having, but this doesn’t mean that every once in a while they don’t feel the need of experiencing a bit of the real world among the commoners.

For someone as famous as Middleton, it is nearly impossible to step outside her home without paparazzi following her every move. This is a kind of attention few people know how to deal with, but the Duchess is not afraid to face it and going out on her own.

When she goes to the grocery store to mingle with the public, she tries to act and feel like any other citizen, and she certainly doesn’t look out of place if it weren’t for her security guards whom she can’t afford to dismiss.
