'Twilight' star Nikki Reed posts throwback pic of herself with husband from their exotic honeymoon

The new mom pays tribute to her marriage in a sweet throwback reminding her of how young they were then and how far they've come.

She recently celebrated three years of marital bliss with her husband Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed was already on a reflective mood weeks prior when she posted a throwback photo from their honeymoon on her Instagram.

Feeling nostalgic as their third year anniversary neared, the ‘Twilight’ star dug through her past and pulled out a photo of her and her hubby taking in the island life during their honeymoon in Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. Both sporting hats, the pair were admiring a toucan in the photo she shared and captioned,

“Two kids honeymooning three years ago.”

So much has happened since that romantic day, more importantly, they welcomed their first child, daughter Bodhi Soleil. Their little princess was born in August last year and has since been a great part of their life. In January, the 29-year-old mom bid farewell to 2017 by acknowledging how much it changed her with the birth of her daughter. She shared a nude photo from her pregnancy and wrote,

“2017 you changed me forever. You made me understand what it means to be human. You made me a mom. You made me a true believer in a love I’d only ever dreamed of … ”

On April 27, 2018, Nikki and Ian exchanged social media greetings as they each posted a tribute to the other validating their love for each other. With a promise of forever, the two wrote touching messages much like many of the messages they’ve written to each other in the past. Nikki toasted to their future saying,

“Cheers to this next chapter my babe, as we continue to dive deeper into this beautiful, layered, ever-evolving thing we call love. Love, your forever girlfriend, baby mama & bff for life.”

Meanwhile, her 39-year-old husband who posted a photo of her on her wedding day which he revealed brings him to “a quiet moment” from that day, gushed over how she looked like a goddess before professing his love for her “to the moon and back a thousand million times.”

He concluded,

“Time truly does fly when you’re having fun. Love, Your Man.”

There truly is so much to celebrate between these two as fans have witnessed how devoted they are to each other throughout their three years of marriage. Just scour through their Instagram pages and it’s easy to see why they’ve come this far and are expected to stay together forever.
