Chip and Joanna Gaines reveal big plans ahead of welcoming their 5th baby
With their fifth child, a baby boy, expected to arrive this summer, the Fixer Upper stars Chip and Joanna Gaines have revealed their plans to create a dreamy nursery.
The husband and wife, famous for their skills for fixing and flipping real state, are going to use their experience for an important change in their own Waco farmhouse to accommodate their upcoming child.
Chip talked to Country Living about the work they have been doing to have the nursery ready for the arrival of their fifth child, whose name they haven’t decided yet.
‘It’s been eight years since we’ve done a nursery for ourselves, and she’s really been having fun with picking out details like colors and bedding and the crib,’ Chip said.
Chip shared that he had to prepare the room first to let his wife join him in the decoration process. ‘A fresh coat of paint was first on the to-do list and that really does make all the difference,’ he said.
Once done with that step, the couple was free to start filling the nursery according to their taste and needs, and it will surely show their unique talent to transform living spaces.
‘We’re still right in the middle of it all, but I have no doubt that when Jo gets finished with it, it’ll be the most beautiful room in the whole house,’ Chip shared.
Whatever the outcome ends up being, Chip has assured that "It’ll be the most beautiful room in the whole house,” so we better be ready for a real spectacle once this new nursery is revealed to the public.
For their boys Drake and Duke’s room, Joanna created customized bunk beds, which she styled with a rustic ‘adventure’ sign made with marquee letters. There’s no doubt they will create something as special for their new baby.
