Every 90s kid was a sucker for the funny sitcom ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air.’ Although Will Smith was the main act of the show, some of the other stars of the show gave outstanding performances that are forever etched in our memories. One of such stars is the beautiful Karyn Parsons.

Karyn Parsons was born on October 8, 1966, to an African American mother and a Caucasian father. She grew up in Los Angeles and attended Santa Monica High school where are love for acting stemmed from.

With a burning passion for acting, Karyn took a job as a restaurant hostess alongside acting classes as she auditioned for every role she found available. She landed her first break when she made an appearance on The Bronx Zoo for just two episodes, but that was just the start of something big for her.

Still on the prowl for roles, Karyn went to an audition for a new series titled ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ even though she wasn’t so thrilled about the concept of the show, where she auditioned for the role of Hilary Banks, a ‘polished cool model.’

Karyn initially believed that she wouldn’t get the part as she didn’t pass for a model, but to her utmost surprise, she got it. Her role as Hilary Banks was the defining moment for her career as an actress.

She didn’t seem to have so much faith in the series, and so she continued her job as a restaurant hostess. After six years on the show, Karyn laid her hands on other shows like Blossoms and Out All Night.

After her failed marriage to Young and Restless actor Randy Brooks, Karyn found love again in the arms of director Alexandre Rockwell. They are happily married and have a son named Nico.

At 51, Karyn is still as beautiful as ever.
