As it turns out, baking soda has a surprising effect on hair, making it shiny and soft, as well as cleaning it in ways that shampoo just can't.

Baking soda also helps to repair dry and damaged hair, strengthen the thin strands, and even assists in hair growth as well.

This ingredient is not only natural with no added chemicals, but is also far cheaper to buy than shampoos and conditioners are these days.

All that is necessary to wash hair with baking powder is to add a small amount to water, and apply it to the hair and scalp. Wait a few minutes, and then rinse the solution out. It can be followed with a rinse of diluted apple cider vinegar.

Among its many advantages, baking soda serves to remove damaging chlorine from the hair, cleans the hair more effectively, and promotes healthy and faster hair growth.

While it is a natural product, it is always best to test it on the skin first to ensure there is no allergic reaction, and it is not advisble to use baking soda on hair that has been treated to a perm.
