Princess Charlotte proves that she is Diana's granddaughter with her new hobby
The newfound interest may give the little princess access to her grandmother’s treasured collection.
While the royal family members enjoy a plethora of hobbies ranging from archery to painting, one of the youngest royals seems to have found one that would make her grandmother proud.
Princess Charlotte, the only daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, has taken a liking towards dancing, as revealed by her doting mother to People last year.
Middleton revealed her daughter’s hobby during a visit to some of Princess Diana’s favorite charities accompanied by Prince William and Prince Harry.
On speaking with representatives of the English National Ballet, the group discussed the deceased princess’ love for dancing.
It was her most treasured hobby – and she was trained in many dance forms herself. Apart from ballet, the princess had learned modern, jazz and tap dance in her childhood.
Her passion and skill reflected in the famous dances she participated in, including the one at the White House with actor John Travolta and the graceful performance at the Royal Opera House beside Wayne Sleep.
And now, Princess Diana’s childhood hobby has seemingly become her granddaughter’s. Not only does Princess Charlotte love dancing like her grandmother used to, she has also been taking dance lessons.
Given that Princess Charlotte is only 3 years old, dancing is one of her earliest hobbies and will be followed by many in the years to come.
There is also a probability of her losing interest in the art form and picking up a completely new hobby to pursue.
However, in the history of the British monarchy, hobbies have very often been passed down from generation to generation, as reported by Vogue.
For instance, Queen Elizabeth’s love for horses and the equestrian sport was inspired by her father’s passion for the same.
The Queen’s granddaughter Zara Tindall took the historic hobby to a whole new level by making it to the Olympic equestrian team of Great Britain.
If Princess Charlotte follows this royal trend and takes up dancing as a serious hobby, she is certain to gain access to her grandmother’s most treasured collection in music and dance.
According to Prince William, this includes a pair of ballet shoes that were gifted to Princess Diana, which she was extremely proud of.
